also, I agree somewhat that the whole selflessness of tar and ckd has thrown a wrench into my outlook of things. there is somethign behind it, but i cannot tell if it is for the towns good or a hell of a scum ploy.

To be quite honest, there is something about the claimed masons that is really bothering me, and this is the reason I havent dropped a vote on Tar as of yet.
I was in a game on another site where I was the mafia GF and was masoned to a townie, and this was what made it possible for me to win the game. For some reason, I think history is repeating itself here.
So I want to do a bit more reading before giving in to Tar's plan.

Also, something doesn't link up correct with Tarhalindur's analysis. I think I read it incorrectly.
Surye is a survivor right now, and would benefit more from a scum lynch than a town lynch because he is just as viable a target going into the night as the rest of us are, so this would push him to scum hunt also.
