however the logical conclusion from someone defending someone else, when the majority of the player list is against them, in a way that is flimsy or illogical is that they're scum partners. or lovers. or otherwise entangled, e.g. pr whose ability only works while that person's still alive.

scum do not typically stick their necks out for random townies. scum lets the town eliminate townies that look suspicious, and uses their nightkill on the ones who could never be eliminated in the day.

the mechanics of this game are a big mystery

d3 not_mafia ended the day early with a hammer against spewed town lycanfire when lycan had one vote (mathblade). so it's some scum mechanics and he is still alive so we're flipping there.

other scum suspects are quiet owl, and I think titus and imaginality have quite a lot of non-town equity also. they're claimed in a 2-player neighborhood where both know that the other is town, but it's not masons (?). she is a night 4 suicide bomber, so I think she resolves today.

"sudden change" is two whole real life days. I ISO'd mcmenno and figured they were probably scum. My starting posts were not as good as I was a D2 replacement and didn't remember much of what I read before day started.

As to my KA read, I explained countless times why I was confident she was scum and why we didn't need to flip elsewhere, cause her progression on QA was almost definitely coming from mafia. Those were posts I either didn't read or understood well at first, which is why I couldn't get a proper read on the slot until later that day.

But I'm only defending myself for the sake of it. If the majority wants I'll happily get voted out this gameday, and then I'm removing NM.

if there's no neutral and it's a 6 player groupscum, then day 3 was all about reaching parity. they had to keep quiet owl alive and fastplayed with NM and mathblade outing themselves to get a kill. Bare in mind that mathblade's lycan vote was the most absurdly insane thing and it was 99% of the time coordinated with NM so they could get lycan killed. my theory is that NM's role would require someone to place a vote, and none of the players voted were good enough kills. lycan was a top townread and math's vote there was meant to activate NM's power.

NM's elimination today is not a matter of policy, unless of course the policy is killing scum

Why would a hammer ability even be an invention? NM could have easily lied about this after we were discussing Enchant's Inventor role. They didn't claim it until later, it could have easily been a Mafia ability.
