aim stuff really fucked this game over and left a sour taste in my mouth from following along. no idea what FD was thinking.

also with my large sample size of 2 all hydra games seem to be generally terrible.

did you suffer some form of stroke? cos that is the only thing that explains your gambit. not like you were terrible by yourself, or anything so you've got a fair amount of good company. at least some of your reads were good I guess.

It's a slipperly slope fo'sho, but I always tend to think you should err on the side of caution if you feel you're compromised and replace out. (and in this case I really, really think you were very compromised, it completely changed your read so it did affect the game)

And maintaining the integrity of the game state (which wasn't done here, it was compromised) is more important than some bullshit 'I never replace out' thing too but I suppose if you felt it was acceptable here there's little point continuing this.

I'd think theoretically an all hydra game should favour town. Hydra's are far more useful to town than scum, I mean as scum you've someone to bounce faked reads off? yay? As town you've someone to bounce actual reads off. But I think in an all hydra game it just becomes unmanagable or the players seem to not work well together. I still don't think it'd be an

automatic

disaster to run a hydra game, but it's not a good sign the last 2 have been.

Bv's did give random hydra's which explains it somewhat though, this? Not sure, some of the hydras worked well together so I don't think the idea's unworkable.
