But we were different people, and had different reads. Or 'reads.' We became much more consistent once I basically decided to go with Gurgi's reads. If this had been just me, I'd have attached myself to FES' leg like a Rottweiler. IF it had been just Gurgi, he'd probably never even have expressed suspicion. Balam had a similar problem with differing reads.-

Anyway, I think we've got off track here. Whoever said you were better at finding scum than explaining was right. Perhaps being hilarious like this more often would help?

We never said "you CAN'T lynch us." We said you SHOULDN'T lynch us until you got more information from the larger wagons. I stand by that. Yes, we kind of walked into our lynch after having been V/LA for so long, but we were town. We weren't shaking in our boots.
We were dealing with ignorant arguments and trying to figure out the mess that was town. BECAUSE of that, the ONLY good play would've been to lynch daspot of FES. If those wagons hadn't been in existence for so long, yes, our take on that would've been different.
I'm sorry that GreyICE felt cheated because he made the wrong decision out of haste.-

I'm kind of tipsy, so I'll try to post this as coherently as I can... I don't even know why I'm writing this.............
Yos, you keep saying stuff like "well, how was I supposed to know she would be NK-ed" in response to the stuff about the JK but that's such a false dilemma like I think I mentioned before. I could shoot back the same question to you: well how did you know the person you jailkept would both a) be scum and b) be the scum who submitted the NK.
IMO, if you have that solid of a town read on someone and you really have nothing else to go on (since it was a Night 1 with no scum flips as of that time) you use the protection aspect of your JK and you protect the person you have a solid town read on just in case they do get chosen for the NK. It's much better to have a townie around in the game saying what they gotta say than one who's just able to post in a dead QT. Whether or not they're a town PR is irrelevant - it's not like that's something you could predict anyway even if you target someone who you think is under the radar scum since, in this case, the person you targeted (my predecessor) was town.
I did a DOUBLE facepalm when I learned that during Night 4, you didn't JK the obvious choice for the NK (DaSpot) AND the scum for whatever reason didn't even choose to roleblock you that Night. I was all like wait... so the scum got a free kill on someone obvtown AND they shut down our other town PR? Wtf? You mentioned that you thought that by not JK-ing DaSpot people might think you were townier, but that was one of those things that had the opposite effect with me.
ANYWAY GOOD GAME.
@TheButtonmen:Honestly I think hydra games should be done away with. They turn into huge lurker fests and then when they ARE active, they become almost TOO active with gynormous quote walls and shit like that. Not cool. I was in the other hydra game modded by Adel and it was pretty much the same shit.[ooc][color=black]patrickgower2006 (8:12:03 PM): all beer tastes same to me

Thanks for that!
Hydra games make it so much easier for scum to win. Setups need to be balanced for that, although I'd rather just never have another all-hydra game.Permanent V/LA.-

Not really. I feel we made a decent decision.
We'd indeed get more info out of the other two wagons, but town should never be afraid to switch up a wagon if they think it's on town, or just not productive. Lynching scum > Getting information.
A good answer would have been "We are behind, but we're town, and FES is scum for X, Y, and Z." Or hell, DaSpot. "Lynch one of the two but not us!" just sounds like you're scum and both wagons were town wagons.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

I have an idea...
coach mafia.
have a game with all vets helping all noobs (fewer than 5 games) the vets do not know who is in as far as coaches go the only know the person they are coaching and the other noobs.
the coaches communicate with their player at any time during the game via QT. players are not to reveal their coaches identity even if they are mafia partners and the like. and the only ones that can post are the players.A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?-

Part of the problem is that Incog is much better at not sounding scummy than me. I feel like every time I post lately regardless of my alignment I look like obvscum of the year - and it shows, especially if you go through this game. Everything we got called on was something I said. I tried to keep up in the QT, but technical issues and then just plain demoralization (thanks for that, Fate) meant I really couldn't play this game.-

Vi did an "educational hydra" with Furcolow. It did not work. Vi made a thread in MD as to why the overall concept is bad.Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!

Just found out this horrible trainwreck of a game ended.
For my part, I was right about 2/3 of my Lord Fonzi, Frogito Ergo Sum, & YosFlavouredCayke theory.
And another thing. I called Copper-scum right upon their replacing in, cause Magna is 100% readable.
This town was screwed because they didn't listen to me (though I understand the dislike for this slot).
The scum did OK in this game; but it's not really that hard to lead around a bunch of confused sheep.
I am glad I wasn't part of this embarrassing loss.
Should have listened to me about Copper earlier.
Alpha Unicorn out.A wise man never plays leapfrog with a Unicorn.-

You called everyone scum at some point. Clearly Copper isn't that easy to read given that you didn't think he was scum at the end.
Having 2 scum in your top 4 isn't particularly impressive either considering we couldn't afford 2 more mislynches.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

ITT Reaper shows he doesn't have a clue.
The bolded is hilarious BECAUSE I AM NOT A PART OF COPPER.
Laugh your head off and get back to the infighting ...
@Incog - BV's Hydra game was a horrible trainwreck also."I am a leaf on the wind ... watch how I soar!"

Sure, ok. That must be why you had this topic bookmarked and responded so quickly. Because you weren't eveninthis game, and just happened to come in to a game you weren't in, and see what I said about you, 20 minutes after I said it. Sure. I believe you.Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" "Look, the most Glorious Rainbow Ever!" "Do me on it!" -

Yes, people can't possibly be interested in reading games they aren't in
But don't let the truth get in the way of whatever little theory you are trying to peddle ... just like normal."I am a leaf on the wind ... watch how I soar!"

I'd think theoretically an all hydra game should favour town. Hydra's are far more useful to town than scum, I mean as scum you've someone to bounce faked reads off? yay? As town you've someone to bounce actual reads off. But I think in an all hydra game it just becomes unmanagable or the players seem to not work well together. I still don't think it'd be anautomaticdisaster to run a hydra game, but it's not a good sign the last 2 have been.
Bv's did give random hydra's which explains it somewhat though, this? Not sure, some of the hydras worked well together so I don't think the idea's unworkable.
Oh and lol @ Magna being in copper. DON'T DENY IT MAGNAare you thinking of me when you're with somebody else?-

You are not helping your side of the story by using sarcasm and smilies as deflection.
It's obvious, dude. Comparison across all MagnaofIllusion, MasterSpy and MemoriaEsponia posts correlates and corroborates this, 100%. Same scumtells, same posting style, same mannerisms. Obv alt/hydra is obv.

I assumed ReaperCharlie was trolling, but I guess he was serious?
RC, you can't accuse practically everyone in the game of being scum and then say OMG GUYS I WAS RIGHT. YOU ALL SUCK FOR NOT LISTENING.
Also, I recall this little exchange we had together:
Post 961, Unicorn Brethren wrote:@Everyone else: Comments on my post #960 please. Coincidence? Give us your opinion please.
In other words: 1 - 2 - 3 scum on the wagon? Why not?
And then of course our enjoyable "IMPORTANT POSTS TO READ."Post 979, Profane Confusion wrote:Daspot/Unicorns: I'm thinking at least two of {Lord Fonzi, Yos, FES} is likely scum, but I really don't think all three are. I don't think I've seen that kind of thing happen once. So while it's certainly possible, I don't think it's likely.[ooc][color=black]patrickgower2006 (8:12:03 PM): all beer tastes same to me
