Eh? How does that in any way make you think "Pointy-Haired Boss"?hasdgfas wrote:he's acting exactly like I would expect the pointy-haired boss to act if Dilbert was real life. It's quite annoying me. Wait.
Could he be the Pointy-Haired Boss?
This is Niv as Niv always is, unable to string coherent sentences together and spell correctly. The only difference is the number of uses of the word "Fail", and possibly a creative way of putting "Fail" in as many places as possible.-

Do not bring outside influences into the game - this includes threats, bribes, wagers, promises, alliances, etc. Using knowledge from previous games is perfectly acceptable, but try not to carry grudges from one game to another.-

DS is a bad lynch at the moment.
Mod: Replace Disciple Slayer. He's flooding the game as well as making unnecessary and excessive ad hom attacks.
I'll entertain the idea of a DS-replacement lynch, though.-

I'd prefer your replacement. You're distracting the town from the very pro-town goal of lynching one of (Gage, MoS, Oman).Disciple Slayer wrote:If Iammars requests that I quit the ad hom, I'll gladly cut it out though.-

STOP WITH THE DS VOTES.
YOU ARE ONLY VOTING DS FOR BEING AN ASS, WHEREAS THAT SEEMS LESS LIKE A SCUMTELL AND MORE LIKE HIM BEING AN ASS.
DS IS A TERRIBLE LYNCH CHOICEAT THE MOMENTAND I WILL BE LOOKING CLOSELY AT EVERYONE WHO HAS JUMPED ON THIS WAGON WITHOUT REASON.-

Haven't felt like wading into the bullshit lately, thus I have been focusing on games more worthy of my timedestructor wrote:

Outside a game, determination of the intention of the poster will be made by mith, or someone appointed by mith.
Glork and JDodge seem to have been very silent lately.
Also why isn't Oman's head on a pike yet-

was fritz scum or town in that gameFoolster41 wrote:As a refresher, the reasons I think Quag is scum is that he is joining bandwagons giving no reason until pushed afterword, pairing votes with non-sequitors (What did the "man up" post by Glork to MoS have anything to do with voting DGB?), and acting like he's caught scum with no proof and then switching "surefire scum" targets.
I have seen this "bully" aproach before. Fritzler has done it at least once. The person acts sure he's caught scum, but refuses to cite proof, hoping the person will crack, then moving on to another person. In esscence, it's a forced mass claim if people actually go alojng with it. If someone has proof in forum he should say so. In fact, if the person's a cop or something that catches scum, he should say so. Keeping a cop alive is good, but catching scum is better. A 1-1 trade even with a power role is a good trade for town.
For now my vote stays on Quagmire, though I may switch to Theanos if this isn't going anywhere.-

you cannot call someone scum because you saw someone else do itif you do not know the "someone else" was scum or not. if you want to use a meta, you'd better back it up-

That is not in any way true in the current game environment when the universal scumtell is rapidly disappearing and being replaced by nuances of meta for each individual player. Even then, leading a town isnotin any way scummy - towns in general do better when there is at least one person leading the charge, per se. Otherwise, you have a town full of people apathetic to the point of inactivity - which scum love and mods loathe.
Give me one good argument as to why leading a town is scummy and why meta is not important in this instance.-

This game has just gone onto my "list of games that make me want to punch a baby".
I'm confused entirely. Would someone hold my hand (not Korlash, Thok or Gorrad, don't want the spin on it) and tell me what the hell is going on here?-

Sorry, I entirely forgot about this game - I'll need a bit of time to read from where I was, but I should be able to do that over the next week. One thing struck me as odd:
Knowing how long it has been since I last posted, why did you not ask for prods on players you thought inactive? Wouldn't it actually be better to try to get inactive people posting than to try and throw suspicion onto them alongside a notable 8 people. Why do you find so many people suspicious? And furthermore, you know I have a tendency to lurk even as town - why do you find that to be a tell from me?destructor wrote:Players that need more attention/some impressions I have of people:
JDodge(and to a lesser extent)ZONEACE - Lurking
I'm unashamedly willing to start Day 3 with the intention of pushing either of these two to the brink of a lynch. Hell, if this Thanatos wagon falls apart, I'd be willing to do it today even. Ha, honestly, probably not, since we'd be likely to get hit with a deadline. But Day 3, I'm game. The way I see it, the longer they're allowed to lurk, the more likely they are to be wild-cards come endgame.
I've also expressed some criticism of ZONEACE. I found his play in Day 1 (e.g. unfounded votes based on an "attempted day-vig" or annoying post restrictions) really anti-town and opportunistic and am not willing to forgive it as typical Day 1 play.
JDodge hasn't posted too much, making his hard to read. I agreed with his criticism of the DS wagon but that's about it. He hasn't said much else at all.-

Have you meta'd DS? Can you say that DS did what he did solely as scum?Bookitty wrote:Okay, I knew there was a reason I thought Porochaz was town:
It's found here.
This is also where I got my impression that Niv was town. JDodge and Glork (and destructor) were yelling at people for voting DS and saying there was no reason for people to be voting him. This isn't necessarily a mark against Glork or JDodge, and Gorrad's reasons weren't sufficient to justify his vote on DS, perhaps. But Porochaz gave what I considered good and sufficient reasons for his vote on DS, and lo and behold, DS was scum, not JUST scum, but the godfather.
I know that I wasn't arguing DS-town, I was arguing DS-we can't tell because he's a horrible player.-

How so? This is based solely on what you think Prozac would do in such a situation. I think that bussing is just as good a reason as your whole "selfless" reasoning.Bookitty wrote:
I've played with Disciple Slayer before. And I agree with your general point, but the fact is, he was scum, and scum would have known that. I said it wasn't necessarily a point against you or Glork (or Destructor) but that it did have to be a point for Porochaz, because Porochaz-scum had no reason at that point to disagree with two of the more vocal and aggressive players in the game at the time and go after DS when there were other targets being pushed.JDodge wrote:Have you meta'd DS? It's not indicative of YOUR alignment. It's indicative of his.

Huh? If we're going to be lynching mneme anyways, (which seems likely), at this point wouldn't verifying your role be a good thing for town? It was intended that I would consider lynching DS's replacement after DS was replaced - I would still maintain that DS was acting the same as he usually did before he thankfully flaked from the site.Shanba wrote:

Part of me wants to vig Oman because nobody will lynch him otherwise, part of me wants to kill Prozac to give this game a boot in the ass by going with the popular choice, and part of me wants to kill Korlash just because he's being completely annoying.
Please comment on these, people.-
