Good call. VH, I meant what I said in my first post. Don't make this about you lurking: if you'd posted earlier my vote would probably be on Near by now.

As for Near: Sorry Near, but if your FOSes were jokes, they simply didn't come across as such, and I'm going to continue to count them against you. Chalk it up to experience. However, rest of post did look like genuine scum-hunting and I'm leaning back to neutral on him atm.

I would say VH tops my scum-list (obviously) but actually nearly everyone else I have a neutral or neutral-leaning-town stance on. Not very helpful right now, so I'll do some rereading.

I'm not completely convinced that Near is off the hook. I still don't like his lack of contribution, however he is one good post above VH. I'll wait and see the other's posts.

I think I'm going to leave my vote on Near for the time being. I'm rather underwhelmed by the scum hunting in his most recent post. It's going to take a bit more contribution than that for me to move it.

Near, is there anything you think makes me look scummy other than this really tenuous "link" to Phox?

I'm not at all convinced by Near's latest post, but I too am wondering where on Earth VH is - stuck on page 4 of the re-read?

Also like others, I am having serious trouble finding any other hints of scumminess. I don't see Near's case linking JamesthePhox and Macavenger at all, and I'm almost at the point of finding that strange-looking avatars make me suspicious. Yet another re-read is in order. Hopefully mine won't take as long as VH's!

I'm much more inclined to believe the VH accusation then the Near one. This in particular struck me as funny:

Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but he seems to be saying "I removed my vote because I forgot this wasn't a newbie game and takes more then 4 to lynch", yet his previous post comes off to me as noting that this is not a newbie game and using that as a reason to unvote. I was never really too convinced by the case on Near, but VH is a much more convincing argument. Once again, though, I'm not voting until he either gets replaced, or posts something.

I feel like now is a good time to mention that it's been almost 3 days since Near's "oops I've been prodded here's some stuff" post, over 2 days since I asked him a direct question in response to that post, and he's yet to post here again. Meanwhile from his post history, he's posted 33 times in other games since the post here, 28 since my question for him. He just doesn't seem to want to post in this game unless he's been prodded.

This leads me to conclude that leaving my vote on him was the correct choice.

Repeating for Near's benefit:

Why do you think I'm scummy? Do you have any case other than the tenuous link you suggested between Phox and myself? Is there anyone besides myself and Phox that looks scummy to you?

LOL. You actually counted huh. I like the fact that you take this game seriously.

I will have to do a re-read to refresh my memory, but I think there was another reason other than imagining you and Phox were scum-mates. I don't think I have anything else to add really. I will do a more through read. But I can't promise content.

Another re-read completed, and still nothing new leaps out. Near still seems scummiest, with VH coming second in the rankings. However, a replacement may change that entirely. Newcomer awaited with interest.

Yup, JamesThePhox was mildly bandwagonned early, then there was an unexpected reaction by Joudus, Macavenger, pyrodwarf, and to a smaller degree singing librarian and Yos. For some reason a bunch of people jumped to his defense. Specifically Pyrodwarf and Joudus seemed to overreact. Also there seems to be minimal direct relations to each other with oblique defence of him for the most part and little direct dialog the rest of the way, as such this is my #1 suspicion of where scum might be hiding.

Vote: Pyrodwarf

as the most suspicious of the group.

Going to have to disagree with you there, Coron. I wasn't defending Phox - I was attacking the suggestion that it would be a good idea to lynch anyone on page 2 (or anywhere near that, for that matter). Having re-read the pages in question, I didn't speak up on Phox's behalf once - I spoke up against Guardian plenty, and against the idea of an early lynch plenty.

Call them as you see them, but this feels a little bit like you're trying to twist what was said to fit your argument, which makes me somewhat suspicious of you.

I'd appreciate if you could quote specific posts by myself, Mac, pyro, lib and Yos that back up your statement.
