I am not sure what to make of Greasy Spot's claim of cop. There are 2 power roles in this game, exactly 2 of: cop, roleblocker, doctor, and miller. So a scum claiming one of these roles, he would have exactly 50% chance of getting away with it.

The other 50% chance, where a real cop can counter claim against scum's fake claim, scums would have some chance of lynching the real cop based on persuasion, and in the worst case scenario find out who the cop is.

So, I can see scums making this claim right before he's about to be lynched. If he claimed miller, i'd be more inclined to believe him, as losing the identity of miller is not that bad for town...

On top of that, look at the way he claimed:

My voting on EA was more by process of elimination rather than specific thing he did that was scummy. Despite my doubting of your claim, i never thought your predecessor Moz was scummy, so for now I will give you a benefit of doubt.

Lowell doesn't feel scummy because he posted what looks like to me genuine scum hunting contents.

Doctor Jimmy - not sure.

Thorbjorn - scummy because he didn't do anything the whole game other than avoiding the spotlight.

farside- not sure

EA- scummy because he hasn't made any "commitment" posts.

I actually don't mind voting for Thorbjorn or EA. But I think either is the best lynch for today.

vote: Thorbjorn
It's all contentless blather combined with a obsessive fear of players at minus one or minus 2.

And this post:
"I'd agree with that except for the fat that I'm in a game currently where on the first day, someone got put at L-1 and a random townie waltzed in and hammered before anyone could react. Albeit, we did hit scum, but it left us completely without leads on day 2." is so weird. Like they got scum day 1, but HE'S LAMENTING THAT CATCHING SCUM DAY 1 LEFT THEM WITHOUT LEADS THE NEXT DAY.

So maybe we should work harder to try to lynch townies on day 1 to have leads the next day?

How come you guys didn't catch that absolute scum-gem?

Also, hilarious by DGB. I'm going to buy as genuine her inability to realize she's voting for herself.

1. Why are you voting me by process of elimination if you haven't eliminated Jimmy or Farside?
2. "Commitment" posts? You mean like in post 36 where you "committed" to Farside, or 74 where you "committed" to Jimmy, or 125 where you "committed" to Greasy, or just now when you "committed" to me and Thorb/DGB? And then you use my vote hopping against me, how convenient. Tell you what, here's a commitment for you: I commit that DIE IN A FIRE SCUMBAG

Final Vote Count

Near
(farside22, Erattus Apathos, Lowell, DrippingGoofball)

Lowell
(Greasy Spot, DoctorJimmy)
Erratus Apathos
(Near)

DrippingGoofball casts her vote. The fourth bulb lights up next to Near's name which has switched over to a vibrant red. The clock stops, hanging in limbo at 00:09:29. The hum of the intercom turns on again. "About time you punks came up with a name." You hear the click of a lock and the door opens on its own. "Near follow the corridor to the door on your right." Near leaves the room as the door shuts loudly behind him. As his footsteps get further away you can hear him talking with your newfound uncle. Then there is a loud pop and a muffled thud. You don't like the sound of that. "You fools don't deserve this money. It should be mine!" screams Uncle Theo into the intercom. "Look on the bright side it's more inheritence for the rest of you."

The scoreboard now jumps to display Home: 4 Away: 2. Shortly after it is envoloped back into the ceiling. Six hideaway beds then fall out of the walls. "Get some rest, you'll get to do this again tommorow." The lights zap out before you get a chance to fall into bed.

Near has been removed... from contention. He was a

You slept poorly last night. Besides being incredibly nervous, one of your brothers was snoring like a freight train. How he was able to sleep so soundly was beyond you. But even being awake the blaring alarm on the intercom made you leap out of bed. The fluorescent lights scorched your eyes. Looking around you noticed five of you were all quickly removed from you beds. But something was wrong with your sixth brother. Lowell's bed had a pool of blood under it. Looking closer you saw what appeared to be the handle of a letter opener sticking out of his eye socket. He'd had what appeared to be an unsuccessful lobodomy performed on him while everyone else slept.

You move his body into the corner next to the dead hobo. Rifling through his pockets you find a wallet which contains his ID, and a Medical Liscense.
Lowel was The Doctor
.
Image
You then hear that familiar preamble, the hum of the intercom. "So the good Doctor didn't make it through the night. Seems evil is quickly winning this battle. You had best pick rightly today. You have fifteen hours."

The scoreboard falls back out of the ceiling while the beds are swallowed into the walls. It now reads Home: 3 Away: 2. The five remaining names are the only ones present on the board with three unlight lightbulbs next to each, as if Uncle Theo had somehow known of Lowell's death. Once the scoreboard reaches is lowest resting place the clock begins its descent. "With five of you left it will take three to remove the next son."

Deadline is set for Noon Eastern Tuesday April 29th.

Yeah, me too, when I was reading the game, my predecessor struck me as the biggest scumbag! And I reckon my hammer was hasty, but I am emotionally scarred by some other games I'm in with Day 1 lasting 86 pages. I just go yay! A game with a day that can end! Woot!
