Since its so close to lynch, have we decided exactly on which blocking scheme to use? We have two likely scenario's, I think, so we're going to need to narrow that down before Night.

ok, for some reason thought we'd come up with a single scenario...I have no idea why...Well, we can continue if everybody's iun agreement on this scheme then.

Guys, we're not lynching yet. We're getting SF to break his supposed PR first.

OKAY?

Cavebear's and Shanba's sudden eager to end the day worries me to no end.

You're right--fixed. Also, I want to clarify: I won't give a public announcement if a PR is broken. That would be a cheap way to confirm/unconfirm Sensfan. The only time I would give a public announcement is if I had to modkill.

And to state my usual disclaimer: this neither confirms nor denies any PRs or their consequences if they do exist.

No, not ok. There's no point. Even BEFORE Khelvaster foiled those plans, the outcome was uncertain and even if they weren't it was only ever better than downright lynching him. As I've stated repeatedly.

Khelv said that breaking a PR will result in modkill.

So, either SF gets modkilled and we lynch jerub, or SF lives to see himself lynched. We're basically given another lynch.

If SF is cop and has a PR and breaks it, he'd be modkilled, after which we'd lynch jerub, and we'd have traded a cop for a scum. However, if he's cop, then jerub is scum, and if we lynch jerub right away, we still get the scum and won't lose the cop. So if SF is cop, he wouldn't want to break the PR because it'd be better if he didn't.

If SF isn't cop/doesn't have a PR (not the same thing but has the same result) he won't brake the PR either, since that would confirm him as faking.

In summary, asking SF to break his PR is pointless*.

*The exception would be if he's cop and we were planning on lynching him; then he could get himself modkilled and thus confirmed as cop, and we would save a lynch.

Is everybody around and aware of the situation, so we can get on with it?

Nearly 3am here, so I'll make this short. Don't lynch anyone yet. Also, I'm not too sure about the whole break PR thing. In light of khelv's post:

Worse case: SF is being honest and dies. We lose a cop. We lynch Jeru.
Best case: Khelv says nothing.
We're still in the same position.

We have nothing to gain from SF breaking his PR. I do agree this day has gone on long enough though. I don't think we should lynch until everyone has checked in and agreed on the pairings though. I will be very suspicious, if anyone says anything about blocking the wrong person or forgetting to submit a night action come day 3.

No, no. Not at all.

I don't know if anyone read Tree Stump Mafia. Each townie had the option to turn into a tree stomp. Clearing them as town, but removing them from the game. When a townie was under pressure, it was the best play to stump before he got lynched, because the day wouldn't end, and thus because scum could still be lynched today.

Khelv just turned SF's PR into a Tree Stump role, and it's definitely not a worst case scenario if he uses it. The opposite, rather.

You wouldn't necessarily be modkilled. Khelv didn't say he'd modkill. He said he may modkill, not that he would.

I'm all for having SF break his PR, but if he's not willing, it's not absolutely necessary. We can go on with the jerubbaal lynch anyway.

Everybody's checked in since the last votecount, except jerubbaal, so we can pretty much move forward. Well, as soon as CESc gets back, at least.

Nothing that I haven't already said 20 million times in this thread. You guys are still being idiots and not weighing what we know in thread appropriately. I'm not going to bail or anything, but this thread honestly isn't worth my time any more.

CESc - stumping was ok in Tree Stump mafia at least partly because each player was equivalent - apart from their stumping powers, they were all townies. Here, part of the trade off we are considering is one of a number of roleblockers against a potentially game winning cop. This is why the argument to save Sensfan is potent, despite his poorish play - his role is much more valuable than Jerub's, if he is telling the truth. Having him break his PR is, yes, much better than lynching him outright, but still worse than lynching Jerub outright from a risk/reward perspective.
