Again...very busy. Also moderately drunk. Will post more SOON. I am a vanilla townie, but of course anyone other than vanilla townie would probably say the exact same thing at this point, so...killa seven wrote:assuming this is true my money is on goat then, since we are talkin about clingin to roles my role has been abandond twice, goat been around since the begining i think, and his posting has dropped alot lately
:shrug:
What really sucks is that I'm hideously concerned that MattS is a mafia goon...but statistically, he's not the play.-

Right, where I stand.
Armlx - confirmed town
Matt_S - Not the SK/Mafia Roleblocker
TSN - probably not scum as per andersonw
The Goat - SK/RB
killa seven (MARK 2) - SK/RB
springlullaby - me, town
Lynching the goon is not a good choice because the SK would want to get rid of the concurence.
Given that I think the chance for andersonw being scum are low, my best bet are either The Goat or Killa for lynch. I think Killa is the SK because he was pushing for the goon lynch instead of the RB lynch, so I'm up for lynching The Goat. What do you think?-

Deep down, I'm still thinking killa seven's the roleblocker. Backing a goon lynch isn't good for the serial killer, since then the roleblocker can potentially block him. However, the roleblocker would really want to stay alive and direct the attention away from him.
I have an idea. Serial killer, claim so we don't lynch you.Show"So I went to the librarian in the biology section and asked her if she could find me a map of the cat." -Richard Feynman

ive narrowed it down to..
goat = RB
spring = SK
matt = goon (if there is a goon)
the goat not defending himself is getting frustrating when armlx accused him of being the sk he barely defended just saying "trust me i would have killed you" and his responce to thre rb accusation was pathetic, come on now ive re read the game, goat was really active and now hes ghost. same with spring but he gives me sk vibes.ShowGames Won..

Try defending yourself please.

I said the following:
1) I was working all weekend.
2) I would post more SOON. I said that on SATURDAY.
Now...I respect your desire for me to defend myself. HOWEVER...please show me my response to being accused of being a roleblocker. Not only do I not recall responding to any such response, I don't even recall anyone other than you even suggesting I might BE a RB...and you suggested it immediately before the quoted post. How that qualifies as a "pathetic defense" is beyond me. It reeks of a really lousy and desperate attempt to start get a train going.
Now...as to my "defense" - I don't really have one other than "I'm a vanilla townie." While I'd love to make something up that's more exciting, it wouldn't be helpful or truthful (although it will apparently give armix more to talk about as an unnecessary affirmation.)
My semi-humble opinion is as follows:
MattS: Goon
killa: RB
Springlullaby: SK

Assuming a two man mafia remaining, lynching a townie puts us at 2-2-1 going into night, which is even more dependent on crosskills than we'd hope for. At best, we'd go to the next day with two townies and a mafia of some sort.
Lynching the serial killer screws us. We go into the night 3-2, and the next day it's 2-2. We really don't want to do this, obviously. This is still assuming a two man mafia.
Lynching a goon puts us in an interesting situation. If the RB can roleblock and kill, then the worst case scenario puts us at 2-1-1, where we're screwed. If the RB can only do one, we either go into the day 3-1-1 with no deaths or we get two nightkills and hope for crosskills.Show"So I went to the librarian in the biology section and asked her if she could find me a map of the cat." -Richard Feynman

I'm curious how you came to that conclusion.TheSweatpantsNinja wrote:Based on that post, I am increasingly confident that matt_s is our goon.Show"So I went to the librarian in the biology section and asked her if she could find me a map of the cat." -Richard Feynman

The roleblocker knows I'm not the serial killer and knows armlx isn't the serial killer, as well as knowing he himself is not the serial killer. Considering that the roleblocker wasn't required to block Kilroy, he was free to try and block one of the possible serial killers. Besides, how does that assumption point to me being a goon?TheSweatpantsNinja wrote:I'm glad you asked: (being semi-confirmed is fun!) Your post about endgame scenarios relies on a key assumption, which is that the roleblocker knows who the serial killer is.Show"So I went to the librarian in the biology section and asked her if she could find me a map of the cat." -Richard Feynman

I didn't complete my though before posting. He also knows his possible goon isn't the serial killer, which leaves him with two possible serial killers. The one he blocked last night obviously isn't the serial killer. This leaves him with only one possible serial killer.Show"So I went to the librarian in the biology section and asked her if she could find me a map of the cat." -Richard Feynman
