Let's keep using farside's 25 coins as true (I'm guessing that's low, but no matter): That's about one a person. That means no one has enough to do anything. If we don't combine, all that's going to happen is scum are going to start killing us off, and then we'll have less coins, and still not enough to do anything with.

I doubt that coins are spread evenly. There will be roles to bring new coins into the system.

Why would you refuse an exchange based on that? You have already mentioned that him doing this does not mean he is town. This should be enough. You are intentionally standing in the way of confirming someones claim and I just don't see a reason for it.

I think that a third person should inspect the item also. We cant take chances on a Gimbo/Surye scumpair, though I doubt it. I don't mind doing this.

It doesn't make me town, but it helps to build a better picture of Gimbo, which is something which can only be beneficial.

I just thinking lets give it to someone is bad. Alright. Lets say survey gets it. Now he keeps it and is scum. You know why it would be a good reason to keep the item. Because it takes the item out of play.

1) Now that Gimbo has claimed, there is no real way that we can ensure that saftey of Gimbo if he is tellling the truth. We are just going to have to rely on protecting roles(which in an item based game- there is no real guarantee of one).

2) This means that Gimbo can't wait for a decent power role thats worth reviving, which is the only dangerous prospect for scum.

3) Given 1 and 2. Would scum really be willing to go one for one on something so trivial?

The item-trading mechanics of the game means that some players should be brought into the game without items to allow for movement and coin-trades.

We could, you know, play Mafia. You seem to be focussing on the coins as though they are the sole factor that will make or break the game. They're like powers in any other game: They're useful if we've got them, but we shouldn't be relying on them. Vigs, Cops and Bulletproofs (powers which we can buy) exist in many other games, but they don't serve as a replacement for standard scumhunting.

Pheob on the other hand is blatently role fishing and has now basicly claimed with very little encouragement to do so.

The banana itself is tasty enough to allow a player to become immune to night kills for the rest of the game. However... the peel is far too slippery for its own good and would stop that player from using night actions for the rest of the game.

To be honest I have just found it hard to get into this game as awesome as the flavour is. Maybe that led to slightly strange voting... though I stand by my votes and the reactions of the town toward them.

As far as I am concerned DK is a role that could easily go either and all ways. I dont think the name alone can swing it.
