people die, and hating to sound like maddox, why are we mourning a 2 bit actor we dont (i hope im making a reasonable assumtion in saying none of us know him) know personally?
my sympathies to his family and loved ones aside, obviously.
Oh the huge manatee!!

I'll mourn Christopher Reeve because he was an actor that I will always remember, for his potrayel of Superman.
Nobody has played Superman better, and even with the new Superman movie going to be made, I dont think they will nearly as good.

I always wanted to see him walk again and know that you cant keep Superman down.
So a nun, the easter bunny, and a blonde walk into a bar. The bartender says "What is this, a joke?

I'll mourn Chrisptopher Reeve, because he was really a big influence in stem cell research and all these other types of research, being paralyzed never stopped him from doing anything

I'm too busy mourning Rodney Dangerfield to care about Christopher Reeve.

There's an article in www.maddox.xmission.com about this that I didn't like much (and I usually like maddox's articles even if I don't agree with them). I mean, he may have a point, but attacking someone that's dead is just wrong.

I don't really like Maddox either, but he wrote that article long before Christopher Reeve died.

My bad.

:| I still don't see it as attacking him after he died though...pardon me if I missed something.

If the person that you were writting a rant about dies - keep it to yourself. And I said I do like maddox, just not that article. He does have a point though: If reeves didn't have that accident, but had cancer, he would off used the money towards cancer research. If he had nothing he would off kept the money. But he's dead, so it's kinda wrong to actually bring it up again.

Did he bring it up again? I thought he just changed the title and put hate mail on it...

I think I see both sides of this. On the one hand, not retracting it just because he died doesn't constitute bringing it up again, and has a certain sense of journalistic integrity. On the other hand, the update has a certain snide feeling about it that seems like it was intended to remind readers of his position. Of course this is exactly what I would expect from Maddox, having read some of his other articles.

Two or three days ago it read "Update: Christopher reeves [strikethrough]is[/s] was an asshole" On the top of the page, right below "Am I right or what?". He took it off sometime after. It would off been acceptable if he didn't have the "is" striken through, and only made a comment saying that he died, thus the change in the title.
