He may have been very hasty bringing you to L-1 but it was a very good method of getting you to talk. I don't really see why you claimed though. It doesn't really serve much of a purpose except that it's either a scum hoping that he's safe by claiming so early, a power role hoping that he's safe by claiming so early, or a townie that hasn't thought things through.Wins/Losses

Well I think DWS sort of doesn't need explaining right now. Wumbo didn't really defend himself when he was at L-1 which strikes me as odd and Chenhsi is just giving me a gut feeling which is probably nothing.maxwellhouse wrote:

I was looking for people to question me and/or act suspicious, neither of which happened. The only thing that really stood out to me was you taking a clear joke vote way too seriously. I'm still not sure if that was a good play on your behalf or not.
It was a weak joke. Don't take it to seriously.Litral wrote:
Why the unnecessary remainder of doubt placed on Wumbo? Do you consider that last possibility to be valid or not? Because the sentence seems weirdly unnecessary.Inspector Godot wrote:
Oh, don't worry, at the moment I think you're pro-town. It's just that the move wasn't thought through too much. Either that or you're an evil genius that has planned this to a T.Wumbo wrote:Well, that's just for you to find out now isn't it.
While I was gone Wumbo had been put on L-1 and a hell of a lot of fingerpointing was going on. I was reading it and was eager to see what Wumbo had to say about being put on L-1 and.... he didn't mention it at all.Litral wrote:
You listed everyone the people talked about... and also contradicted yourself on Wumbo. Why the sudden change of heart?Inspector Godot wrote:Gah, I had a birthday to attend and I was away for a few days. I thought I posted that I was going to be absent in this thread but I guess it slipped my mind. Anyway, DWS seems a bit suspicious as do Chenhsi and Wumbo.
Can you give an example of such evidence? To me, all mafia votes are gut feelings explained in a logical manner. Mafia isn't a game of debating.[/quote]Inspector Godot wrote:]
I wouldn't vote off a gut feeling unless there was evidence that the person was scum.nhat wrote:We have dudes on here now talking about their gut feelings, so we'll see how far that gets us in the game.
I don't really get what you're asking here. It would be basically a normal vote except I doubt I'd take it off quite as fast.
I said it because it looked like the joke voting stage was over to me. So sue me.Litral wrote: DWS, Wumbo and Godot all said something amounting to "serious time nao", and I really don't understand it. Why would anyone say that? Is a clear and direct transaction necessarily better for the town?
StrangerCoug and Imaginality seem the most pro-town. You, maxwellhouse, Cass, nhat and geraintm are most likely town in my book, but max does need to post a bit more. Tom and Kenfucius don't give me much of a read. Chen.... Really annoys me but I see no reason to doubt his claim of cop. DWS seems very suspicious but he could just be a fellow newbie. Wumbo is 50/50 at the moment.Litral wrote:

Well if my counting is correct DWS is at L-2. I found Chen scummier but the fact that no one counter claimed was enough for me to remove my vote. But now, I'm more than happy to remove my vote from DWS and take him down to L-3. If we get to the deadline and there are more votes on DWS then Chenhsi I will change though as I don't want a no-lynch on day 1.

The way I see it there are a few options:
A) Max is scum and trying to get us to lynch another townie.
B) Max is insane so DWS is innocent.
C) Max is sane and DWS is scum.
What Litral said about Chenshi's role being Town Cop is a pretty good point. At the moment I'm debating whether or not I should vote for DWS or Max. Either way, it looks like one will be lynched today and one tomorrow.Wins/Losses

So DWS is at L-2, which I feel comfortable with right now. I'd like to see some thoughts from Wumbo.

So nice to see you try and start a bandwagon on me, especially considering that you've listed me in your top suspects and not really attacked me at all this game. I'd love to put an OMGUS on you, but that would put you at L-1 and that strikes me as a very scummy thing to do.Wins/Losses

How many other people do we have that we could lynch? If DWS is lynched and shows up as town, then Max should investigate himself. If DWS shows up as Mafia, Max can investigate someone else. If he gets guilty on them too then maybe it's worth debating before they are lynched.Battousai wrote:What are you talking about? Investigating yourself is only a wasted night IF we lynch DWS today. If we lynch someone else and tomorrow you tell us your result.
If you get guilty, your insane. If you get innocent, we lynch DWS and that will prove your alignment. So if we lynch DWS today it will prove your sanity, but not your alignment. If we wait until tomorrow, then that will prove your alignment and sanity.-

But if Max is an unhelpful cop he is confirmed town. As long as he keeps posting there is absolutely no way we should lynch him.geraintm wrote:if dark comes up innocent, then the choice then is do we lynch max who is either an unhelpful cop or scum, of course depending on if there is a night kill.

I don't, I'm working off the dangerous assumption that he is. I understand that it is a bit stupid, but max has given me a pretty pro-town vibe so far.Litral wrote:
How do you know max is confirmed town?Inspector Godot wrote:But if Max is an unhelpful cop he is confirmed town. As long as he keeps posting there is absolutely no way we should lynch him.
Hey, I'm just an optimist. Like I said, it's probably a stupid attitude to have but I'd really like to think that we still have a cop.Battousai wrote:Vote: Inspector Godot. You seem to be banking on max being cop. Is it because your scum and know he's not or are you trying to protect your partner?-

Actually, I may as well roleclaim. Way I see it I have no other choice.
I am a Reporter. I choose one player and the next day I am told in a PM whether or not that player was home. I do not receive any additional information, I am just told if the person was home or not.Wins/Losses

So, you want my actions?
Night 1: Investigated imaginality. Obviously he was home. I investigated him because he was the most pro-town player in my point and if he was away from home I would have pegged him as a power role. Of course, he could have also been mafia or serial killer or some other scum role but eh.
Night 2: Investigated Wumbo. He hasn't posted much and I was interested to see if he was a scum trying to go under the radar or possibly a power role keeping quiet. Unfortunately I was told that he was at home, so I guess he's just a normal townie.
Anyway, with regards to nhat's role it seems really powerful, especially considering we've had two cops and all. I guess if I want to stay alive I have toVote nhatWins/Losses

I figured that Max would investigate DWS. I did think of investigating Wumbo but I went with Imaginality because if he was a power role then I thought that if he claimed I could claim to back him up. Looking back Wumbo would have been a better day 1 choice, but what can I do? And besides, why is everyone so ready to take nhat's word? It is a very powerful role, and although this could be my inexperience it seems to powerful for a Mini.Battousai wrote:Godot, why would you want to figure out if someone was a town powerrole? Why not investigate DWS, or Wumbo that day? Both of those people were wagoned against D1.-

A lynch is better then a no-lynch. Chen and DWS were the best two candidates for lynch and I went with Chen, figuring that DWS would be the day two lynch. It looks bad now but no one was complaining back then.Battousai wrote:One of the main reasons I do not believe your claim, godot, is from D1. It seems to me nhat wanted DWS lynched, whereas you didn't really seemed to defend him a bit. Also, I found it a little suspicious that you wanted to lynch chenshi with the reasoning that was basically "I would rather lynch an inactive townie than wait for deadline."-

Despite how scummy he looked I didn't want a quick lynch. The possibilities of Max being a scum needed to be considered. Truth be told, I probably would have voted DWS if Day 2 had been just a few days longer. People seem to be going for what they hope is true instead of considering both possibilities. Hell, I did that on Day 2 myself with Max.nhat wrote:So...where was your vote for DWS on day 2?-
