Misa is a great character

I think it suffers from a slowdown in pacing like a lot of shows do toward the middle but I think the premise was really strong and I still think about it every now and then

Dude while I'm inclined to say "those are rookie numbers, get those numbers up" I think you have a decent familiarity with anime from that list

I'd say Neon Genesis Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain, {obviously anything Ghibli, not sure if you are intentionally skipping those because they're so famous people forget they're anime}, original Ghost in the Shell film

Also like, I wonder if music-video films count, like Daft Punk's Interstellar or the new "Sturgill Simpson: Sound & Fury" thing on Netflix which I actually enjoyed more than I thought I would

Star vs. the Forces of Evil is not an anime but it is very good and people should watch it

so this is off memory

the only anime movie I would really recomend seeing is A Silent Voice, that shit is straight up amazing. There's also that other anime movie that released around the same time and is also just as good but I forget what it was.

oh yeah there's also Hotaru no Haka.

Evem if you don't want to watch a TV show, you can pick up like, 1 of those movies I mentioned, and you'll have a blast.

Clannad/After Story
Little Busters/Refrain (Though if you have the chance to play the Visual Novel, you ALWAYS play the visual novel over the anime, but the anime is honestly just as good, but the VN is a masterpiece)
Shinsekai yori
Madoka Magica and Yuuki Yuna is a Hero (I would suggest watching Madoka Magica first then Yuuki Yuna is a Hero)
Nagi no Asu kara
Railgun/Index/Accelerator is all good stuff (I actually think Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator aired recently and I haven't seen any of it actually so thats a watch)
Haibane Renmei
Higurashi series (Higurashi is super good, however its sister series, Umineko, the anime is awful for, and if you are interested in Umineko, you should go get the VNs on steam. Be warned tho, it took me a week to marathon read all 8 chapters of Umineko)
Mawaru Penguindrum
