Were we getting something out of not voting?? I can understand reluctance to vote when you don't have a good reason... but the only way you get good reasons is to stimulate the game (by voting etc.)
I meant the PB voting for Wacky and Wacky voting for PB. I know we definitely were not stimulating the game by not voting, but yet they are increasing the votes on each other and not saying much of anything else either.

Oklay, is anyone of the Wacky or PB voters doing it for any reason besides "Hey, we don't know he's not and he's got other people voting for him"? Because I hate bandwagons like that and will be withdrawing my vote unless someone can come up with a reason not to.
I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons

You mean IIRC doesn't mean "In IRC chat rooms"?
Oh well. Can we bandwagon someone for some crap reason now? It is day 1 you know.
Mgm wrote:So why aren't you trying to starting that bandwagon yourself then?
I'll be happy to start one: Unvote; Vote: Wacky - that's 2.
Wacky wrote:Actually, I was hoping for a Vote Count so I could see who already has a vote.
Who else is voting for me?
Mgm wrote:Then why didn't you just say you wanted a vote count. Can't be that hard...
He tries to push others to start a bandwagon, yet he doesn't start one himself.
When I vote him, he says he actually wanted a vote count. How can you make a mistake and write "bandwagon" instead of "vote count"? He's changing what he says with every post.

I agree...although I think he omitted something about the vote count in the first post. His post doesn't suggest he's looking for a vote count, but then again, it is plausible.

I'm finding this post just indifferent from the rest. I don't really know how you could say that discussing the roles won't get us anywhere for all kinds of reasons. What are you're reasons ... I mean sure it isn't going to help us catch scum necessarily, but at least we had discussion going during that part of the day.
Then you mention that we bandwagon someone for crap reasoning ... When someone suggests you as the target and votes you, you get upset ... I mean it is Day 1 you know.
Who said I was upset? I'm just frustrated about not seeing any clues on who the mafia might be. And while a bandwagon is good, being bandwagoned is always bad, so I wouldn't like it too much either.
Okay, the reason:
1. The rules say that you can just ask norinel for the equivalent role. So discussing what the equivalent roles could be isn't very useful to the town.
2. On the other hand, a lot of you seem to not know that. Some of those people who don't know that might be mafia. If they were mafia and made up a claim, and then (or beforehand) I asked norinel and got a different role name, we just trapped a mafia.
3. Also - discussion of roles often results in people dropping tells about their roles, mostly the pro-town people (since mafia -> werewolves. Not that much to say).
4. In summary, discussion of possible roles does detriment to the town, and helps the mafia.
Finally - I rarely know what I want to say or really want to say.
...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
I don't have a bead on anyone at this stage, and all other things being equal, I'd rather keep Wacky around than PeaceBringer. I've gotten a better read on Wacky than PB in the past, and hopefully will be able to do so again if it comes to that.
Okay, Fuldu's last post looks seriously hinky to me. On top of which, it's inconsistent with the reasons he stated for voting PeaceBringer in the town. That's enough for me to
unvote: Wacky, vote: Fuldu
.

PeaceBringer wrote:PB, I would think you would have realized by now that the reason you get bandwagoned in every game you play is because your style of play looks scummy.
I assume this is what you're referencing regarding my reasoning in the other game? I don't consider them inconsistent at all. If I think that PB always looks scummy, that suggests that I don't have a very good read on him, given that he isn't always scum. Wacky, on the other hand, has a style of play that I recognize and that I feel (rightly or wrongly) I would be better able to detect scummy deviations from. If I don't have enough information for a solid lead on anyone right now, I'd rather keep the players I think I'm more likely to be able to figure out than the ones who are a complete mystery.
gee fuldu the only way you get to understand how I play, is to actually play through me. The getting run up on day one is getting a little old. I can understand that I am probably the one person here who you don't have a good read on, so for a first day vote I understand it but I am getting real tired of folks jumping on the Peace wagon's on day one.
