In a mini, not very high. I've been in a game with two one-shot vigilantes, though, and we essentially quicklynched the second one after he claimed (after the first was long dead). We lost—and scum that I never suspected got clean away. My fault for the loss, too.Dark wingstalker wrote:Realistically, how likely is it for there to be two cops??STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!

I don't see why maxwellhouse would bluff about this. He's nowhere close to being in danger, whereas chenhsi claimed cop after getting bandwagoned something severe. Unless maxwellhouse is an overanxious scum trying to get the cop out of the way, but I just don't have any back up to make that assumption.
I also don't think that there are two friggin cops in this game, so.....

Okay. I wasn't sure whether to believe maxwellhouse's claim, but a re-read of his posts (particularly 275 and 286) definitely makes me pretty inclined to believe him.
I'm very willing to vote chenhsi now, but a question first: I agree that two sane cop seems highly unlikely, but it's easier to believe that there might be two (or more) cops if one or more of them is naive/insane/paranoid. However I don't know if mini normal games (a) are allowed to have (and (b) sometimes/often do have) multiple cops of varying sanities. Is that possible/plausible?-

Well if my counting is correct DWS is at L-2. I found Chen scummier but the fact that no one counter claimed was enough for me to remove my vote. But now, I'm more than happy to remove my vote from DWS and take him down to L-3. If we get to the deadline and there are more votes on DWS then Chenhsi I will change though as I don't want a no-lynch on day 1.

I have no clue why he would, but then I have no clue why Chenhsi acts the way he acts, ever. I still think DWS is scummy, but two cops is pretty hard to believe. I don't see scum counterclaiming like Max did, so I do believe Max.
UnvoteI think that's L-1 (not that I'd mind hammering)

I'm hesitant to lynch chenshi. There could actually be 2 cops in the game of different sanities. Why didn't maxwellhouse claim sooner, heck why did maxwellhouse counterclaim at all d1? It's bad play, imo, for the cop to counterclaim D1 because it's a trade cop for scum. The cop could always counterclaim later, AFTER using their ability at least once. Heck if they get NK'd then the lieing cop would be lynched that day. My vote stands for now, as I would like both of the claimed cops to get an investigation in, and then tell us.-

I considered that, but don't see how it would clear things up. What if they both say they checked the other, and got a guilty? Or a lying scum could name any player whatsoever and say he got 'innocent'. It proves nothing.
I agree the claim seems to make no sense. But Chenhsi's death could give us lots of information: if he's scum, Max is probably honest (and we hope there's someone around who can protect him). If he's a cop, Max is probably scum.
The only catch I can see is they're both scum... seems highly unlikely, but in any case it makes Chen still a good lynch today. Can't bake an omelette without killing a few people.-

Well, Dark wingstalker is at least trying to play. chenhsi, on the other hand, has done nothing to help town and has given very,VERYlittle of his opinion. Cops shouldn't sit watching from the sidelines.

If cass is right about the vote count, then this is lynch minus zero.STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!

chenhsi, once you're lynched, you're not supposed to give any game-related information. This mod allows "bah" posts (and you've made quite that post), but post #367 is against the rules.STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!

Where I first played Mafia in cyberspace, you can talk all you want to, dead or not. You just can't kill anybody. (I had aREALLYhard time adjusting to MafiaScum.net because of its radically different play style, but now I can switch from one to the other as if they were languages in which I were bilingual.)STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!
