Also, there are other, non-scum non-town factions that can exist. They are anti town (since they don't share the town win condition) and thus eventually need to be lynched.

I displayed a highly paranoid misinterpretation of the town's win condition. I was told that, for the town to win, all other factions must die. Yosarian admitted that he was not aligned with the town. I don't see how it's so difficult to understand the leap I made there.

Because faction refers to a group of people, where as a survivor is only one. Thus, Yos, as a survivor, is not a faction, by definition. Thus him winning via surviving does not affect the town in the slightest.

an SK can prevent the town from being the only GROUP left because he can kill one of the group every night. So the town couldn't win until the SK was dead.

That's not the town win condition though. The town wins when all other factions are dead. The SK, according to you, is not a faction, since he's only one player. Therefore, by your definition, the town would win if only town-aligned players and the SK were alive.

My vote is not on you. It is on Iam. he is playing very anti-town with the OMGUS vote and the WIFOM arguements. So it is not a wasted lynch to get rid of someone who is not helping the town.

I don't think that IAM is a lyncher type role, but don't know what he is at this point or why he has the information he does. I haven't yet decided what to think of him, but I don't think lynching him today will do any good since we don't know yet if yos is telling the truth or not.

If yos is still around tomorrow then we know he is lying and can deal with that, but again, no use lynching him today until we know.

I reread through grimmy, and while nothing in particular stands out as scum, something about him just rubs me the wrong way. I can't quite put my finger on what it is. I don't like that he won't let the issue of yos and iam wait a day. When the conversation changed to another topic, he jumped back onto iam immediately almost like he was afraid that people would stop looking at iam if we talked about something new.

I realize that the yos and iam situation is interesting, but like I've said, I don't think we will draw many conclusions from it today and therefore don't understand why grimmy wants to keep so much attention on it.
