Ok, I understand now. But I would still like everyone else who has claimed a power to go first. Then after they go, I'll go since it was my idea.

Why? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Those who have already gone a step ahead and roleclaimed should be last to flavor origin claim because it will allow them to call BS on people.

This seems extremely counterintuitive to the stance you took on DGB's idea in the first place. If you don't believe this claim in regards to what has happened, why would you blindly follow dgb in the first place? oh thats right because you are scummy scum scum.

The way the lie-detector thing was presented it sounds like DGB is claiming he can tell whenever someone is lying. Is that not a super-broken sounding role? That's why I'm suspicious of the claim. I think I see the problem. I was talking about two different issues in one post.

I discussed my feeling that DGB's claim might be fake because of the fantastic nature of it.

I discussed not wanting to see the flavor claim get aborted because not everyone agreed to it before it began.

Nowhere did I say DGB's early claim was fishy FOR BEING EARLY. I did say it was fishy.

So now that I've shown you that you are misinformed, will you unvote me?

Wall-E the problem is it will be very hard to learn anything concrete about the setting we are playing in this early on in the game. The way it is set up is working to deny us any of that information until the time is "right" in Tar's eyes. So we might as well play this game like we would any normal game until something is revealed to us proving that we shouldn't.

I'd agree, except we do need to know something about the environment we're trying to play in. If you feel that my experimentation is somehow preventing you from scumhunting perhaps you can offer some content?

Aw crap I'm still alive. Well since I can't escape this game I say we play it. Everyone drop the mechanic conjecture and let's treat this game as if it were a regular game of mafia (except we will obviously still watch out for really strange stuff)
