Here is the post I had typed up. (Killa ignored my question once again, so I'm assuming that he has no additional reasons for his vote):
Good point. I agree, the case hasn't be exactly amazing. However, you are right about the mystery sentence explaining.TDC wrote: BAB: As it is I don't find your case on jon particularly convincing, though I see where you're coming from regarding his carefulness.
It's not another reason I thought he was scummy, it was one of reasons why I voted for him.
Here we go. The letters I said were abbreviations:
TWAS-PVATRIAHTVJWBICTSHJWRTAMRTJPOC
This Was A Semi-Pressure vote and the reason I asked him to vote Jonathan was because I’m curious to see how Jonathan would react. There are more reasons than just pressuring, of course.
Him refers to TDC. The more reasons refer to what my case was on him. I was hoping that someone would pick up that I was trying to put pressure on Jonathan and help. That's why I delayed saying what the initials were for a long time, I really believe that I need to see Jonathan defend himself. He's been playing so careful, that I was trying to get a reaction out of him. Hopefully this would have given me more evidence to figure out his alignment. I really didn't think him that incredibly suspicious, but I was trying to read him better.
PLEASE NOTE: I was not trying to get votes on Jonathan for a lynch.
I was trying to get votes for pressure. Don't even think about attacking me on some bs thing I was trying to divert attentions away from killa. I even said that "I am fine with the votes on Killa" earlier
I don't think killa was adding pressure to Jon based on the way he voted. It seemed to me like he was just adding a vote to take attention on to jon.
If this post doesn't completely make sense, it's because I wrote it in one draft a while ago and just had time to post it right now.Signature:

well if we are getting into metas.. ive been in alot of games with alabaska and hes been scum in about 4 outa 6 that are completed.. by "more involved" the last 2 games he replaced in the first one we were in lylo the game had been going on for 6 months and it needed to be ended. (sorry we lynched you alabaska) and the other i was a cop and again when he replaced in the game was allmost over. and he was scum...
so im pretty sure thats what he's talkin about by more involved.
TSn has seen me as town act like this also.
Metas arent the best way to determine if someone is scum.ShowGames Won..

Its time for a discussion of the difference between scummy and anti-town. Killa's play is consistently anti-town, in the sense that it does not help the town. This is bad, and in larger games I more or less pursue a "lynch-k7-all-the-time" meta. But a seven-player game, we can't really afford to be lynching wrong.
Now, if killa's play wasscummy(that is, more likely that he is scum), I'd be going after him. But since this is his play scum or town, his play isn't scummy.
And to extend this to lurking in general, while lurkings is anti-town and people shouldn't engage in it, people do, town or scum, and so lurking is, at best, a very weak indicator of scumminess.
You were saying earlier how you would expect power roles to always lay low, and now lurking is scummy becauseonlyscum have reason to lurk. . . I think you need to start seeing the game in a few more shades of gray.-

You're not really helping much.k7 wrote:After im lynched and confirmed town, what will you say next?
For the record, I don't expect them to lay low...I just think that there is intrinsically more benefit for them to lay low compared to a non-powerrole, but they might not want to do that because they too need to scum-hunt or lurking would show scum who the power roles are. Right now k7 is at a point where he should post much more in order for the rest of us to attempt to determine if he is scum or not, but he isn't...that outweighs any concern of a powerrole "outing" himself, if k7 is a power role.tspn wrote:You were saying earlier how you would expect power roles to always lay low, and now lurking is scummy because only scum have reason to lurk. . . the additional reasons refer to pressure voting.jonathantan86 wrote:

No. Zero information is never gained from any action in this game.TDC wrote:
BAB: Do I understand you correctly if I say that your plan has gained you zero information on jon, because nobody understood they were supposed to add pressure votes?
However; seeing him react under the pressure of more votes would have given me exponentially more information about him.
Too bad.
Another reason I have done what I did is that I have found that when I'm town and other players think the same way I do, they are also town. I was kind of looking to see if I could get any personal town tells (not that I would have shared who I thought was a townie, since that's anti-town to do).Signature:

I don't consider my case bullshit.CallMeLiam wrote:BaB, you made a bullshit case to see who'd hop onto the wagon? Or to see how a player would react to it?
Jon has been really careful. I consider that scummy.
BUT...
you'rekindof right. If someone was hopping on to add pressure, I would have considered that pro-town. If someone was hopping on to advance the lynch (cough killa cough) then thats more anti-town.Signature:

You miss my point. Let's say k7jt wrote: Right now k7 is at a point where he should post much more in order for the rest of us to attempt to determine if he is scum or not, but he isn't...that outweighs any concern of a powerrole "outing" himself, if k7 is a power role.doesn'tpost more (which is likely). What kind of conclusions are you going to draw about his alignment?-

So you're saying that you are a powerrole? If you reread the thread, almost nobody thinks that keeping silent indicates that you are a powerrole (I am one of the, and perhaps the only, exception). If you really were town, you wouldn't reveal yourself, not in this fashion at least. I think you are the best lynch for today.k7 wrote:thanks for helping the scum determine who is a powerrole.
BaB: Your vote is still on me. Who do you think is the best lynch for today?
TSPN: It's true that some townies lurk, but we have repeatedly asked k7 to post more but he doesn't. Not to sidetrack but...what do you think of k7's quote above?-

I don't feel comfortable with any person's lynch right now. Do you think there is someone that is lynch-worthy? Well, I'm not sure you should answer that.jonathantan86 wrote: BaB: Your vote is still on me. Who do you think is the best lynch for today?Signature:

I'm starting to think you're tunneling on k7 because there's heat on you and you think he's an easy lynch.
