Bell is being at least somewhat inflammatory. Therefore, I'm not sure his comments about not wanting to engage come from a town reasoning. Instead, I think he may not want to engage in conflict because it will bring more attention to him, and this seems especially dangerous from a player like Hiraki who has already said that he more often than not is able to find mafia on D1.

If he didn't want attention on him, he'd post less, surely

There are enough roses alive to where mafia cannot win the game by shooting a rose every night. They can try, but the game will end naturally before that point.
We have setup information. There are 6 town roses alive. Make mafia claim to be a rose or a gun. Make them claim what night and where they shot, if they're a gun.

This will split the player list in two, and we'll know how many mafia are on each side.

I'm not actually sure still how I feel about the dynamics between Bell/Akarin, because there's a part of me that wonders if she's the fallman still, but I'm fine with putting pressure on her to see what happens for now. But I don't think that these two are S/S together at all, either.

Akarin: Picking weird stuff to talk about after returning to the game. Acknowledges that the game is out of RVS and thus implying that there’s been some content that’s probably worth talking about, but decides to talk about Roses claiming if they’re at E-1? Feels like a nothing question.

i have a feeling like a week ago i had great plans with my johnny vote which then fell through the floor of him just not being around, and it's probably not wise to keep the vote there as the deadline's approaching. i kinda still don't see the juice behind the dunn wagon, and i still townread uncrowned, so i wanna try something else.

Rose slot is like a coin toss, their stance on Akarin feels survivalistic without trying to look survivalistic, which feels scummy because they're acting like it's a read they have but they have no reasons

- Akarin in 280 made me stop and blink, and what I'm thinkin' it was was that it's the defense of my... well, she ain't here anymore, but my fellow hunter. Like she wanted to tank a bit of pain for her. She's done that a bit and really it doesn't sit right with me (because I'm supposed to that for Rosé, dammit). Akarin seems predisposed to doin' this sort of thing, and even admits it herself, but I'm not sure what the motivation is to stop pushes even if they seem a bit shallow this early on. The one thing that's buggin' me 'bout this is that a lot of us are comin' to this conclusion, that it might an act she's puttin' on, without anyone really stickin' their neck out for her.

I have been thinking about this a lot. For starters, ABR was a mafia kill. Uncrowned could have been either.

Sell me on this a little more. There's 11 people in this game, I am town so for the purposes of this, I'm taking it out of 10 (this works for everyone in their own position). If there's 6 roses, that leaves 4 gun. That's a 50/50 shot. I like those odds especially with my reads. If there's 7 roses, that leaves 3 gun. That's a 1/3. I don't like those odds and now we have a pool of 5/2. If there's 8 roses, that leaves 2 guns - both confirmed town. Those have a target on their head for the rest of the game but are useful today only based on how mafia plays (additionally at least one of these guns has potentially already shot their shot). Lastly, if there's 5 roses, that confirms all 5 roses as town, mafia is now in a potential auto-loss position. Therefore, they'd absolutely never take this stance.

My concern is that I can't be the only one who has thought this far. The optimal here is that we get 6 roses but that is only based off of scum playing sub-optimal. The other scenarios are heavily scum-sided.

You can't just scurry away from an answer and then say "well, doesn't really matter anymore" - you still pushed for it without giving a lot of reasoning and then when I went into my own line of logic, I couldn't figure out a single towny take-away. Roses don't claim what night they are until guns claim who they shot at. That seems to make the most sense to me. Guns can fake shooting at a rose, but roses can't fake being shot at and living, and the night chosen otherwise doesn't matter
