unsubstantiated votes get harder to substantiate when we look back! I love them!

why consolidate on someone you're talking yourself into townreading though? serious question, if I wasn't null on abr I'd probably be trying to talk myself out of policying

Go look at TENET, that game was lost on D1 from self-immolation.

my only reservation of xtoxm is this eerie flashback to our first game together. I was deep in the towncore D1 and he was like, a very easy mis-elim. Around D3 or so I realised I needed to acknowledge that he was town and he was like "you're right but your read is too late to be towny" and that kind of readability progression really burned into my brain forever

Xtoxm is a meh elim. He wants to be seen as a meh elim. It's kinda hard to divine what happens there but why the FUCK are people townreading him

you guys want to rattle off top scumreads and then choose who to kill that way

can avoid a lot of unnecessary noise

just have everyone make one post: ordered list of people they want to kill, then we use some voting system, maybe condorcet to figure out the optimal elim

Xtoxm: obvtown (21 mostly blank posts)
Cephrir: lurking (158 posts, active presence at every stage of the game)

In post 2458, Hopkirk wrote:what's the bit you like about the content?
Calling Ythan ABR Dunnstral as town and liking you while soft-defending my slot and the worst, is all things that are good, and I agreed with pretty much all of those reads at that point in time. The reads were good, the reasoning was fine; the thing holding me back was tone.

In more recent content, Winter Flakes was initially sitting on the sidelines, but stepped up and has been more active, more vocal, more aggressive, and also far less fake-sounding. Tone-wise Winter Flakes is fine to me now and content-wise continues to actually look pretty good. I may not perfectly agree with every take, but the takes legit do look like they come from town. (Thus why I don't want to wagon the slot--I'd be willing to as a compromise because this townread isn't in defend-to-the-death territory, but I'd be incredibly unhappy with it and expect it to flip town.)
In post 2475, Hopkirk wrote:so if xtoxm is scum and winter flakes is town why hasn't there been any attempt to counterwagon onto WF from anyone?
I would love to agree with this as evidence Xtoxm is town, but I cannot in good faith do so because I am obligated to point out:

Scum in today's meta almost never make counterwagons when scum are run up, ESPECIALLY if the scum are almost or entirely among the less-active players.

If scum have no pull, no influence, over the townbloc, they cannot mount a successful effort at defending their scumbuddy via a counterwagon led by them.

In the current meta, most wagons are towndriven because most players who're active are town, with the scum being among the less-active slots either entirely or at least primarily.

So sadly, this doesn't work as an Xtoxm defense, tho I do agree he's town anyway.
In post 2479, Titus wrote:
In post 2102, hercule wrote:Xtoxm is never escaping the POE this game. ABR is being actively scummy, in the thread, right now. I'm fine if they are the competing wagons, people should just vote who they think is mafia
You are probably scum if this is t v t.
It is, so hercule is indeed scum. <3
In post 2489, Titus wrote:Hercule may just be scum with Agar and Ythan or Agar might be his pocket. Mastina's scumreads have all started to attack and scumread her.

I'm just gonna chomp down on the hypocrisy carrot to beat the trend but I currently think mastina reads unaligned and I think that for virtually no reason

if she is scum her partners feel kinda obvious and I don't think that's likely

blue is not lurkers

yellow is lurks

actually it's just divided into who has more than 100 posts and who doesn't, some of the blue have lurked for periods of time like ABR

but I look at this every so often just to check and see if *all* of my scum reads are in the yellow. Because that's when I get the sense of uneasiness that unwnd (i think) gets because no I don't really think xtoxm/agar/titus/a50/ythan has all the scum in it or whatever

it probably has a couple but not all and I do feel weird that my top two scum reads are basically just the bottom two posters in the game

I'm definitely town reading people I shouldn't be. Maybe that's cephrir or maybe that's hopkirk. There's only two things I feel certain about: I'm not gonna figure it out Day 1 and it's not fucking oka poka

I don't know what happened to this post or why I made it. I should revisit hercule probably looking at this list. I feel like maybe he and unwnd will start switching places.

I want to kill winter, xtoxm, agar and abr. I was starting to turn on abr but then he voted me presumably hoping to get Danny or someone to vibe check me. Not sure about the order right now it's kinda day 1 and just getting anything that's not horrible is fine

I'm frustrated by the number of players who are setting up to have me be their windmill to tilt at all game

I mean I just wanna say that my goal changed from 'liming scum' to 'maintain town morale'

Is it a bit backwards? Yeah, but I just don't think scum dies this phase, even in some possibility that scum has been wagoned before. I again also maintain that it was very annoying some people would say 'but unwnd what does it all mean' it means I want to talk about it and that perspective brings more enlightenment.

@Dann: I could vote implosion. His posts contain absolutely no analysis and he certainly didn't state a single read on anyone. :P

I object to eliminating Xtoxm. I also object to eliminating ABR.

In fact, I still object to eliminating outside of DGB/tw/Cephrir today

my fav elims are probably ABR (admittedly game health/policy influenced), xtoxm (epic shrug elim and I guess gth I'd rather play with him longer because I like him a lot), agar (least towny slot that has made a lot of noise).
