I started this game at the same time I started a show and I didn't realize how much time it would eat up. I don't like quitting, but if I stay in the game then I'm just going to bs my way through it and not contribute anything and that's not really fair to people that are really trying to play.

To continue my analysis on players:

BlakAdder

I see this fellow as sort of a hypocrite. He accuses Sir Tornado of posting a lot without saying much, but he isn't posting a great deal of content, either. The only stuff he had to say before accusing Sir T was a little bit about lynching lurkers, a couple of jabs at Cream, and a brief apology about phrasing something wrong. I definitely flub some things up in Mafia, but I try not to point fingers at others for things that I too am doing. I could see him as scum pretty easily.

He's talked a lot of game theory in this particular game, whether it be about Lynch All Liars or [threaten to] Lynch All Lurkers. I think the lurkers discussion is an important one, and I don't associate it with trying to appear active. In a game this size, it's definitely an issue that needs to be discussed. Otherwise scum could make easy work of this town. That said, as I stated before, I believe lurkers should be taken on an individual basis. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances.

I'm aware I haven't been so active in this game, but that's because I really have to do an analysis of each player before I can formulate a balanced opinion, and that takes time. Anyone who's played with me (though I've never finished a game so I guess I shouldn't go into specifics) knows that's how I roll. I'm in five games right now, but one of them is coming to a close so it'll be a little easier for me to keep up then.

Yeah, so...Cream. No scum reads here. I don't think he was "wishy-washy," and that's probably because he appears to have a similar stance (non-stance?) on lurkers as me. You can't just lump all lurkers into one category. Mafia games can get pretty complex and you can't oversimplify the issue. Cream hasn't done anything to convince me that he's town, but I'm not reading any scumtells off him.

I don't like this post by EmpKing. He seems to be voting for a very weak reason. He doesn't state if or why he thinks Cream's stance is scummy. In fact, he doesn't

I know I take votes more seriously than most, but past the random voting stage, I think people shouldn't be voting each other just because they aren't carbon copies of one another. Since you all are harping on the pretending to play, I assure you that you're all getting tunnel vision no this fact. Look at the post I quoted in the vote. It's pretending to play, 100%. It's participating because he's told to. Now, how much did I invest in this? Did I lead the charge to have him lynched? No. Did I then proceed to follow the discussion on why he would do that, then weigh in, and unvote? Yes.

Heck, are we going to have to have a discussion evfery time someone's meta opinion differs from what you believe optimum is? because that's what you were doing in your analysis post, too (none of those stances can be considered scummy if there is a legitimate way for a townie to think them.). Stop it. It's unproductive, and you're unlikely to change anyone's mind, even if you are right.

I don't see anything particularly scummy about Surye's play thus far. I don't think "pretending to play' was a good description of that post from Sir T (perhaps, "bowing to popular opinion too easily", or "only voting when forced to", but not "pretending to play"). However, I don't see any reason why that would be considered scummy, especially as Sir T's post there

was

legitimately scummy.

About BlakAdder: my reason for voting him is that it always seemed to me that he was pushing in the popular direction, that is, moving as the wind blows. A little bit of pressure mounts on cream, a vote pops up and then he's on the wagon. Story with Sir T is a bit more complex (he unvotes cream147 twice?) and he's a little bit behind, but he's clearly shifting his attention to Sir T when sir T's wagon starts building up steam. He doesn't unvote when armlx, does, though, and there were not enough data points to be certain that this was a pattern that would continue. I would have expected him to OMGUS vote me, though, when he sensed there was support for his pressure on me, which he didn't. There are enough variables for me to
