I agree that "trying to do things" is worse if they're mafia in the abstract, but in terms of finding someone's alignment I find it much easier to go "this player is doing literally nothing for the game, they're probably evil" than to mentally evaluate whether exactly what Monkey is doing is scummy or not.

it is hard to imagine that you believe that sigmund believes you are hectic or any of the other alt related things you have proposed

it just seems extremely unlikely to me that sigmund believed not hectic was actually hectic and it seemed hard for me to imagine not hectic believing that (or the banned user thing whatever that was)
