I'm still kicking myself about d3. Right before things turned on me, t3 was at e-1 and I thought to myself I should really hammer before anybody changes their mind. Figured even if it would have looked scummy (and it sure would have) at least we'd have made it to d4 and been in elo. But Alstro moved their vote from t3 before I could get home from work.

There was no dead thread. Until Pav was eliminated, no one asked about it and most of the players were flaked so I didn't think it was worth the effort.

In general, I like how dead threads can keep players invested in the game, and I feel like val would have had some entertaining things to say about me in there lol

Obviously, it is up to you, but I saw that you signed up to mod another newbie game. I would recommend making a dead thread in advance, and putting players in even before someone asks.

I have seen other mods use that as a way to engage with new players, and I like that a lot.

If nothing else, it gives you somewhere that you can talk about the game as well

After that I was kinda playing on my heels. If we'd had him as a mislim option (as you pointed out early d2 Luke) ... well, who knows!

Also since you're probably curious and all the relevant games are over, the mystery tell I was trying to apply to you was the "tbh" tell that I had read about in 2069 which talked about 2065. Clearly it didn't work out for me though

A couple things Alstro.

First, using the tbh tell on her, it says that she is town imo.

In her scum game, she says the word "honest--" 25 times in 58 so about a 1:2 ratio
In this game, she says the word "honest--" 6 times in 52 posts so closer to a 1:10 ratio

So, her tbh tell would point that she is town this game

Secondly, don't burn meta tells until after you use them once to case someone as scum. I was aware of Zyla's tbh tell because I was in both games with bulge you just mentioned. And pointedly did not mention it to her. Now she is aware of it, and you will not be able to use it against her

You were in the running for a n1 nk, but I didn't buy your "slips". We also knew we were in column c which limited the options. Ultimately I thought val was a more likely PR.

I also thought we could either miselim you or force you to claim d2. (It almost worked.)
