Prod rules in queue setup info?
The purpose of this thread: to answer the question, “should prod rules be (required to be) added to the post a mod makes when entering the queue?”
Why this is important: in the past it has felt like prod timers for the most part have stayed at 48/24 (time from last post until prod, time from prod until replacement). Nowadays though it seems like there’s more variation in prod timers. Deadlines seem to be pretty much always stated when queueing already, and I think prod timers are related to deadlines enough that they could be included on similar basis to whatever reason deadlines are already stated.
I personally think adding this info wouldn’t be a bad thing. Making it a requirement I’m less in favor of without a direct argument for, but having it be an optional thing to include seems acceptable.<Embrace The Void>

I think including prod timers is a good idea, I've added it to my form and we'll see how it goes.-

That seems like a long time to let someone go without posting.
I don't see a great need for this but I don't think it's hurting anythingOf all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I have 48/24 as my default, but I give myself the right to change them to 36/24 or 60/24 if it feels like either activity is low despite me not giving many prods (the former) or activity is high throughout but I’m giving lots of prods to people that seem active (the latter). I don’t think I’ve ever gone down to 36 but I know I’ve gone up to 60.“The assumption of good faith is dead”

Considering the standard is 48/24, I think any variation from this ought to be posted. Fwiw, I think anything time requirements outside of a 24 hr a day cycle is a really bad idea. Imo, 36 hr posting requirements are just confusing for a lot of people.**********We just need to tread carefully because if you slip up around her as scum she notices and will tear your spine out and slap you to death with it. I like 36-hour timers because they set an expectation that you should post at least every day, but give some leeway if your available time on one day just happens to be a bit later than on the day before. I've never heard of anyone being confused by it even if they weren't necessarily expecting it.
As for the proposal of including prod timers as part of the /in to mod, I have no objection to it. It doesn't solve a problem I have but it seems like it solves a problem someone else is having.“There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say, ‘There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say there are two kinds of people in this world, and the other kind,’ and those whodon’tsay. Well, then there’s me.” — J.R. “Bob” Dobbs-

Man how times have changed.
Prod information being advertised in game signups is definitely something worth knowing IMO.-

I agree with this -- probably only necessary to have it added on the form if it's different from expectationsIn post 9, Nancy Drew 39 wrote:Considering the standard is 48/24, I think any variation from this ought to be posted."we knew everything... And we knew nothing."
