Nomination
Primate has nominated Bellaphant for execution.
McMenno is not obliged to decide immediately on whether to confirm or veto this nomination, but neither Consul may nominate another player until a decision on this nomination has been made.
Potato Count
Here's how many potatoes each player currently holds:
Bellaphanthas1 potato.
Cogito Ergo Sumhas1 potato.
cpolhas1 potato.
Fenchurchhas1 potato.
Klickhas1 potato.
McMennohas1 potato.
mykonianhas1 potato.
Nexushas1 potato.
Porochazhas1 potato.
Primatehas1 potato.
Postiehas1 potato.
Takumahas1 potato.
Wennahas1 potato.
The potato rules:
- At the start of Day 2, each living player must eat a potato. Any town-aligned players who are unable to do so (on account of not having a potato in their possession at the time) will immediately die.
- At any time during Day 1, any player with 1 or more potatoes may post "Pass Potato to [Player Name]" on a new line of text. This will transfer 1 potato to the chosen player.
- No player may hold more than 2 potatoes at any one time.
Non-Binding Vote Count
Bellaphant (4):Cogito Ergo Sum, Postie, cpol, mykonian
cpol (2):Klick, Fenchurch
mykonian (2):Bellaphant, Primate
Porochaz (1):Nexus
Remember that votes have no tangible game effect at the moment; only the Consuls can nominate and execute. This vote count only exists because the mod is a cool pal who's here to help.

Current scumteam guess: Cpol and Takuma
I personally believe that the potatoes can be pro-town. I think having access to multiple executions is a net benefit, even on D1.
However, I think town should only be prepared to give up their potato if they are otherwise going to be executed, to allow for more executions.
I think cpol is suspicious forimmediatelyoffering to give up his potato 'to the right person'. In the original potato game, Menno immediately gave away one of their potatoes and I called them town for it for the rest of the game. Fool me once, etc...
Takuma is my second pick for scum for hardly engaging with the game apart from to complain about potatoes.
Bella is a neutral read for me, so I'm not really opposed to her execution. Nexus still seems town. Myko is neutral-leaning-scum.-

I also only gave it away because I was the only person with three potatoes and Andy seemed trustworthy to me at the time. in this game that whole thing is moot since the potato mechanic will be abolished day 2. I think if people were to give their potatoes away it should be to me or Primate, since we can't be executed today anyway. the fitst two people, at leastmafiascum is on life support-

Huh, woops. Maybe I gotta rethink my whole perspective on potatoes...
Although instinctively I still think Chris' offer here to give his up is irrational and therefore scummy.-

The "therefore" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. In post 116, Fenchurch wrote:Although instinctively I still think Chris' offer here to give his up is irrational and therefore scummy.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

Let's test this then!Pass Potato to Fenchurch
I'm a VT. Like in the WereLeg game I'm more than happy to give up a potato, especially as the conversation has moved towards me. I did want to pass it off to someone I thought may be a pro town power role in case of a potato stealer or the likes, but I'm not getting a strong enough vibes from anyone to do this. Instead, I'll test how Fenchurch reacts.
I'm not scum, but do see myself as low hanging fruit for an execution - either today or another day, so hopefully I can remove myself from that consideration and we can scum hunt elsewhere, especially today where there is still some time left in the day. Of course, if Fenchurch does believe me then I can have the potato back, but I only want it if it allows the conversation to go elsewhere. But my potato is now Fenchurch's your hands, so do with it as you will!
I'm still struggling to see how voluntarily handing over a potato could ever have been a scum play? And suspect there is at least one scum in the group of people who believe it could have been, as per the low hanging fruit comment. But hopefully this is now an end to the potato conversation, as I think anyone else now handing one across given the justification for doing so, is alignment neutral at best.
My vote stands on Bella for now.-

Oh gee... I wasn't expecting that! My initial instinct is to pass it right back haha Personally I don't think a potato stealer is likely so I'm not worried about needing more than one potato. But I'm going to think about it because I don't want to miss the chance to get extra executions.
Sure, I think I'm being open in my reasoning. If I'd just said 'Chris' offer is scummy' would you have questioned it? Townies do make irrational plays, but scum have to deduce what the appropriate townie response to any situation is, and so any action that doesn't seem a natural one for a townie to make is one that is more likely to be coming from scum.In post 119, Cogito Ergo Sum wrote:The "therefore" is doing a lot of work in that sentence.-

You are too down on yourself, the votes of Nexus and Klick had nothing behind them really. Primates question to you did. I don't think you'd be on the chopping block anytime soon.In post 120, cpol wrote:but do see myself as low hanging fruit for an execution - either today or another day, so hopefully I can remove myself from that consideration and we can scum hunt elsewhere, especially today where there is still some time left in the day.
I think this was a mistake, Fenchurch is the one person who doesn't remember that you had the same sentiment in the physical game.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.-

That's fine, but the potato is only available today, and I didn't want to do this too late in to the day that we can't discuss how it plays out and then move on from there. In post 122, mykonian wrote:
