Why would I pocket NM of all people?

Is there an implication here I'm missing? Never played with NM before.

NM is widely regarded as an unpredictable troll who isn't too useful as an ally. I mean I defend him sometimes but only D1 because I believe there's usually a better lim than essentially random.

Like yeah I'm not going to let myself get thrown around this game, but I think there's quite a difference between:
"Ircher is obvious scum but nobody is listening to me so I'll just sheep Ranger and DkKoba and help mislim Aureal as well", at around page 30-40,
and
"Yo this is page 3 and I don't have any serious scumread, might as well sheep Enchant on a decent page 2 wagon"

Except I answered your question succinctly in the next post, where you asked for reasoning. But in the quoted post you are already discrediting my read before even hearing why the read was made or what the read was about.

I think the pushback on Aureal being towny is weird but the two theories I have on it are diametrically opposed so I’ll wait on that.

I personally don't really have any well-developed reads yet. I know that with the way I play I'm likely to change my mind later so sometimes on page 10 it's just easier not to talk about how I think not_mafia is towny because he posted twice in a row (not a real read).

KittyTacky claiming that Dragon and Drew are not paired in 115 (not sure how he arrived at this read tbh) seems somewhat in line with !town meta.

I don't think people are that good at balancing how soon they give reads as !town vs !scum.

What do you think the difference between Kitty town and scum metas is?
