that is true actually. the only time i've seen scum squirm around claiming like this is when they were i want to say... mafia ninja and they knew that there was a town watcher?

I will also back this, in most cases I feel like I am less willing to claim as town than as scum
there's one game that could be seen as the exception to that rule but I think the circumstances might make it more of an outlier

scum CAN not want to claim, however whatever theta is going to claim has CLEARLY been planned since day 1 and i think that scum who are prepared want it out there

I actively disagree that NKA is incriminating against it, but none of its posting gives me any inkling of town. I’d prefer HuTao or CCS but I’m no where near current enough to try to strong arm a lim with less than a day before deadline.

I didn't think much of the reasons for the initial push for HPE and the period wagons continue to strike me as votes that are from lack of idea of who else to vote for (or in bad faith for some of them). When I read HPE's posts I hear towniness- genuine frustration and annoyance at being misread.

I do kind of see what you're saying. I don't know if I think HPE is the kind of player who puts a lot of premeditated thought into it's posts. I skimmed through two game of HPE's during the course of this one and I think it just says whatever its thinking a lot of the time.
