idk it was a number of little things but mostly I think it kinda clicked for me eventually that a lot of our clashing was just having two very different ways of approaching the game and I think since recalibrating with that in mind he looks a lot townier, and the fact he backed off me too makes me think he's actually trying to solve the game

Think about it, all you should do in such a case is post as little as necessary. If you throw shade on a possible cop instantly and his target flips red you are in deep. Mostly you just want to know the result ASAP and have everyone shut up.
