Kira in this timeline more dedicated and ready to get hands dirty (and that's reason why they CAN get away with it, because no one expects them to use direct means, when they're can use Death Note). Of course after one time, everyone get extremely cautious about it, so it only works once.

I do think gob ends the game here but I have a maybe better idea

we can flip aureal this gameday and check the veracity of RR's claim. if RR has lied for some reason, then killing aureal will not give us the announcement that both followers are dead. we'll know for certain RR is either a follower and kira, and we kill them next.

just putting this out there to see if people think its better than just going after kira today

Mhm... With inside knowledge, this does read like a somewhat heavy slip; as Kira is about the only one likely to remember that Kira is warned when all followers are dead but to forget the warning wasn't public

like the sort of thing non-kira may want to reply to the mod, so it's... quite suboptimal. Not to mention illegal.

Replacing is obviously useless, and I don't necessarily believe it's ground enough for a modkill and I'm all out of other ideas (beside warning gob privately [while warning not to discuss the warning] but that's a given). Actually it may be worth to ask SirCakez to make sure that it is not indeed modkillable (letting the day continue), it

is
