mora, seriously... step outside your box and think for a second that it's possible I'm
not
scum.

Also, SG should NOT abdicate tonight (planned rotation of dictators is dumb for the reasons I gave, especially when we can always overthrow anyway).

Still like executing one of MonkeyMan/Gorrad.

I've been really busy the last few days and haven't gotten a chance to post much on site. I'll be back later today, hopefully, to respond to other things.

Try reading 343 and 349 again.
And dont you worry, I won't execute you unless theres a majority that thinks you are the most scummy out there. Unless I get overthrown ofcourse, you might get executed earlier then, but I hope my overthrow = kill rule prevents things like a quick overhtrow + kill.

Currently the votecount would be the following list.

monkeyman (2): siesta, gorrad
gorrad(1): jebus

If im misinterpreting a post by one of you, please tell me. And from now, it might be the best to use the
vote: name
syntax were used to to prevent couting votes that werent actual votes.

I'm happy with a monkeyman execution.

I don't get the argument that I'm scum, you would think most of the things i've done are pro-town.

I can't remember any pro-town things from you to be honest. But could you try to defend against posts 343 and 349? Just sitting there saying you are innocent isn't going to do anyone any good. While a great defense might change everyones opinions about you..

Remember, the deadline is in about 4 days, and is highly unlikely to be extended.

MonkeyMan576
- States a distate for electing a dictator without more information, but elects roflcopter an hour later.
***I elected roflcopter because I felt he was the best of the available candidates, and I was highly uncomfortable with the other candidates.
- Disagrees with campaigning for dictatorship.
***I don't mind campaigning, I don't like it when people appear power-hungry.
- supports Dictatorthon, does not compete.
***I think it's a great way to learn more about the candidates, don't see it as anti-town.
- Picks up on roflcopter requesting replacement immediately following a post calling roflcopter out on his behaviour.
***Pro-town
- Suspicious of Slysly for power role fishing.
***Pro-town
- Much energy devoted to arguing with Slysly.
***Scum-hunting, pro-town
- Very supportive of executing Slysly.
***Again, he was the scummiest at the time.
- Does not support trading 1 town for 1 scum, considers trading a doc for a scum a "last resort".
***Pro-town...

I have been neglecting this game, it seems. A couple of my other games are/were coming to a head so they had priority and I am having a hard time getting a handle on this game, so I haven't made as much progress with it as I would have liked. I am going to try very hard to re-read this whole thread from the beginning over the next two days to try to get a grasp on it, and post something substantive.

Regards,
Jazz

Apparantly the deadline is tomorrow, and since I might not be here tomorrow, I'm going to execute the person with the most votes this evening (in a tie, im going to go by my own opinion).

So if anyone has anything left to say, or cast a vote, please do so quickly or it'll be too late.

Well, maybe the mod could allow me to do some sort of auto-execution at the deadline, with me executing the one with the most votes against him, and let my vote count for 2 in a tie. If hes willing to do so, I won't execute this evening.

It seems trying to improve in my other games has left me useless in this one... =\

I can't honestly vote one way or the other... At least not now... This evening huh... i should be able to have something by then...

Ok so luckily I have insomnia ATM, bad news is I have insomnia... So yeah... You get what you paid for:

Looking at both Gorrad and Monkeyman on their own I can't in good faith actually 'vote' either of them. If you were to ask me my opinion of Gorrad, my gut would say scum but I don't have any real evidence to support it. My "gut" is no where near immune to being wrong, hell I find I'm wrong most of the time.

Looking at Monkey a second time I do find a couple interesting things. He jumps on Sly for "power role fishing" but from what I see in that post what Sly said actually sounds like a worthwhile idea, at least to discuss. Putting our cop into an unkillable position sounds like a great idea at first. There's downsides sure, but to dissmiss it without any talk seems... out of place. Monkey also failed to say anything about Sly's Doc claim... not a single thing... Yet he pushed for his excecution. I mean wanting a guy lynchd becuase you think he is scum is one thing, but when you completely overlook his doc claim that's just plain wrong.

There is also the part where Mor asked him to "elaberate on his case on Jebus" and Monkey's answer was "there is nothing to elaberate on..." making reference to his last post, even though his "suspicion" of Jebus stretched before his last post. It might be nothing but that looks like he was somehow trying to avoid giving a case...

He has a fiaxation on self survival... Says we would get no info from his death... Does some sort of pba on himself... I mean no offense, but if you actually have to call your own actions pro-town, you're not pro-town. Why would any town need to list out his own "good sameratin" points?

I don't know... I guess if I have to vote right now it would be for Monkey. But that's based on just two solo reads of two people meaning I excluded everyone else, so it's a very flawed choice. Not to mention I'm not in my best mind...
It's not my job to be right, it's my job to be convincing.

I think he's town - abdicating means he could be giving control to someone who isn't (either by his choice or randomly):
Machiavellian-Mafia, in Special Rules wrote:7. The DICTATOR may choose at any time, day or night to step down from power and abdicate. This should be done by posting or PMing me abdicate. The abdicating DICTATOR may choose a successor by posting or PMing me successor: playername. A new DICTATOR will be determined as soon as possible after an abdication.
If a successor is chosen, the successor has a 50% chance of becoming the new DICTATOR while all other players have equal chances for the rest of the 50%. If no successor is chosen, the next dictator will be randomly selected.
Emphasized.
