Taking out Andrew, although good, didn't seem to change the night death situation at all.

thrawn, could you explain this statement?
thrawn1020 wrote: The problem was partially that he had the only vote on AndrewS for almost 2 pages, among other things.
Are you saying that IS having the first vote on Andrew made him a target? And what were the other things?
Basically, I was saying that IS was nearly inactive for
several pages
, and his vote just sat on AndrewS. This led me to believe that it was not possible for IS to be scum, therefore, an easy kill for those people who are against the Ratite. If he had lived, we would have had a very likely confirmed innocent. As it is, we continue.

Not sure what to think of the night kills. It's seems quite obvious we have 3 bad guys or groups...most likely at least 1 mafia group and 2 SK's, but probably 2 mafia groups and 1 SK. That means there are at least 4 bad guys and probably 6 bad guys left.

We can't get it wrong too many times anymore...so I'll wait for more info before I vote.

It's entirely possible that we have a vigilante.

Quailman, just what did you mean by that second part?

I'm also a little bit confused by what Peacebringer said, but just in a general way. My answer is wrong, as was yours. That I know a little bit about smallpox, considering the events these past few years, shouldn't seem strange at all. However, I apparently don't know enough.

I received a smallpox vaccination as an infant. I remember standing in line at my university to get innoculated for the swine flu, though I totally forgot what the vaccination was for (a symptom of my advancing years or a side effect of the vaccine?). It was and remains the only shot I've ever received with a 'gun' injector instead of a conventional syringe.

And Maximumum, that's an interesting observation about the victims' categories. I made my selection before you posted it and now I'm wondering if it would have made a difference. I think not, especially since it's probably just coincidence.

Don't worry, it
is
just coincidence. Coron(I) died night 1 and chose Air, not Earth. I guess it is possible that categories were immune from scum targets, but I highly doubt that, especially since a majority of people chose war last time. Although we could have a haunted house thing going on...

And if there's a vigilante out there, STOP. That's 2 pro-town dead. Don't kill anymore unless you are absolutely sure. And I mean cop result sure. At least for now. Thank you. :D

I seriously doubt the deaths are a result of a Vig. The death were described as extremely brutal and violent. That sounds more like the work of an insane person, not someone out for justice.
And as for the category coincidence, each night the two that died in the same, not as violent, method (presumable by mafia) were in the same group. It was the victim of one of those more violent deaths that was the anomaly. It still may have some significance.

Category: present
.

As for the deaths in relation to the categories, it may still be a coincidence, especially since most people chose the War category day 1. Similarly, the most people chose the Earth category on day 0.

I too am not inclined to think that the brutal murders are a vig's signature. Not only that, with the limited information available day 0, I'd be very surprised that a vig would even have attempted a kill as it's generally considered bad practice for a vig to kill night 1. And on top of that, we already have a dead vig in justinl. I have seen games with more than one vig, but not very often.
I need a new tagline...

I think the brutal murders are the work of a serial killer rather than a vigilante.

Dropping in quick, my apologies for not knowing the specific flu...but I just have to say the smallpox discussion was hilarious to watch after the fact.

As for current category,
Category: Future
sounds good to me.

I too think that the most likely combination is 2 mafia groups and 1 SK, but there isn't enough evidence to be sure yet.

And finally, I'm pretty sure that the categories/killings correlation is entirely off-base, and I would suggest that we don't waste time trying to analyze it but instead focus on analyzing current information for finding more scum. Well done yester"day", but we need to be extremely careful now, as if there are in fact 7 killers still on the list then our odds are not looking so good...any thoughts on who might be the SK yet? I think that would be the best way to better our odds, we only need 1 correct lynch, and it removes a night death...any thoughts?

Would now be a good time to start thinking of an answering strategy, or would that be a waste of time too?
The way the game is set up, we control who has power at night. There has to be some way to use that to our advantage. By limiting the number of people who answer we might be able to reduce the number of players who die at night.

No ideas about the SK.
The one player I'm most suspicious of is Dragon Phoenix. Besides category picking/answering, his posts have consisted of quick votes and bandwagon jumping. Very little content, just sitting around hoping to lynch someone...but oddly enough wasn't one of the votes on Andrew, confirmed mafia.

It would seem logical that Andrew's scum buddy
wouldn't
have been on his lynch, but of course that isn't always the case. It is probable that there are scum on both sides of that issue, so that doesn't clear Dragon Phoenix.

REGIS beeps in a surprisingly disaffected manner:

PeaceBringer failed to select a category and has bee randomly assigned to PAST.

Here are your questions:

PAST: Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning passed for 4557 yards in the recently completed NFL season, surpassing the standing single-season passing rating record. Whose single-season passing record of 5084 yards was in little danger of being eclipsed?

Della got something for his watch (what it was called I'm not sure)
for future I have no clue

We can still do strategies on who answers correctly.

Dan Marino sounds right. I remember hearing about his performance and it wasn't (I think) in the top five. I'm pretty sure another who was mentioned was Kurt Warner. Tarkenton and Montana had some good solid numbers, but they were with more balanced teams that didn't have to come from behind with a lot of passing very often.
