Was there supposed to be one?

This move was pretty straightforward, in my opinion.

Please replace me.

Sorry. I really want to play in this game, but my real life schedule is too cluttered to play mafia with the level of focus I'd like to have.

I apologize for any damage I may have done up to this point.

I think Qxf5 will work out for us. We trade position for pawn, but with solid play we should be able to work our way to a win.

Qb3 had the potential for more, but was also riskier.

If you play that....

14. Qe5 Ne4 15. Qh5 Rf5

Not looking good for us already. An exchange of pieces is inevitable at this point.

16. Ng5 Nxg5! 17. fxg5 Bxg5 18. Bxg5 Rxg5

and we have to start playing with stalemate in mind. So, no.

I do, however, have a solution to the problem. I propose we move back to Qd3. We've lured the d5 pawn out, and our queen is threatened with no safe square to fall back to but the d3 square.

14. Qd3 Ne4 15. g3 Bf5 16. Qe3 Nd6

At this point begins an exchange of pieces, but I have yet to count the exchange out. However, this is the best move I can see for White.

move: Qd3

I don't like Qe5 as it leaves our Queen in a position to be trapped or pinned to our king more easily. Now that we are up a pawn we need to secure our position. At first glance I like Qd3.

So in the interest of the game, should mafia/town mutually agree to kill/lynch the two people who need replacements? Or does anyone know anyone who likes chess and would be willing to replace?

By the way, I just now after Lawrencelot hammered, found a replacement for Pesco47.

g6 or Be3....

Is there any other way to stop Nxd2-Rxf4?

I am liking g3, but I'm also considering Qe3 and Ne5 as possible (maybe better) moves.

Ok, I think we need to get all of our pieces developed now and castle our king, or move him to the d file.

If they play Nxd2 and we play Qxd2 they can't play Rxf4. I would also consider Ne5 here.

Still, I think I like Be3. It puts a piece on the e-file in front of our king and protects the f2 sqaure which is very vulnerable and preventing us from castling queenside and protects the d pawn again.

I briefly considered Ne5 as another way to stop up the e-file and give us a very strong piece of our own, but I think there are more important things to do right now.

Hmmmm, what is our plan after Be3 Bf5?

I guess Qe2 looks alright.

Be3 or Qe3 look alright to me, especially the former.
