Why does an electrical engineer track night actions?

Hmmm....

I wonder if one more post will fix the "no posts exist for this topic" problem.

Of the two claims, Dmi's is definitely more likely.

Vote: CoronII

As for the answers, I'm pretty sure Marino was the QB.
I've watched the Disney version of gift of the Magi, and read the Muppets version to the kids. I wasn't sure how close those stories were to the actual story, but the watch chain shows up in both stories.
In Disney's, Mickey sold his harmonica to get Minnie a chain for her watch. Minnie sold her watch to get Mickey a case for the harmonica.
In the Muppet's, Kermit sold his watch to get Piggy a hair clip, Piggy cut her hair to get Kermit a watch chain.
That answer seems like a good bet.

Locus, does a mechanical engineer who's a doctor make sense?
What about a chef who's an inventor?
Or a systems analyst who's a deputy?

FOS: Locus

You seem to be concentrating more on my role name rather than my role.
Just because my role name's connection may not be apparent with my role, that doesn't mean my info's wrong, does it?

But if you want to know, I track electrical flows to see who accessed whose cryopod during the night.

And with amazing swiftness, CoronII is dragged to the vacant airlock and the door is locked behind him. Unsure how long it will take for CoronII to succumb to the chill, the group returns to the bridge to consider how best to deal with REGIS's questions.

Wow, Raccoon, that's a lot better than what I was going to put if no one had any idea: Joan of Arc.

IIRC, The muppet version is more like the story; the girl shaves her head to buy a watch chain for her husband, while the guy sells his watch to buy combs for her beautiful hair.

I think we need to limit in the endgame.
Right now we're probably just going to hurt the protown roles.

I disagree. We need to limit our answers now, because if we can shut down the SK or something, it may well buy us another day. The price we pay in protown roles is ok for that benefit. I want to have another day to lynch scum.

And if we limit the wrong category, then we get about half our protown roles disabled.

Every player has an ability. We should use that to our advantage. If we start disabling players, the chances are more likely to hurt the town. Our infogathering roles won't get info. Our protecting roles won't be able to protect.

That will just help the scum.

Dmi, unless you can find something in the Rules post that I can't, there
are
people without an ability, and thus people who have no disadvantage for not answering.

FOS: Dmi
. Don't let yourself be handicapped by that sort of thinking.

Also,
FOS: Locus
for placing a vote quickly after seeming to have reservations.

There was more here, but I forgot it. If i can think of what I wanted to say earlier, then I'll post again.

I stated that I wouldn't cast the lynching vote until Dmi explained how his role name corresponded to his role. He did, so I did.

Umm, I don't call that explaining. All he said was that not everyone's role name corresponds with their role. And frankly, they
do
make sense.

Secondly, why was how his role and role name correlated your chief concern? It should be whether or not CoronII is mafia. Whether or not they correlated shouldn't have mattered as much as whether or not you believed him.

Dmi didn't make any effort to explain anything at all, and you were
satisfied
? Do you have some connection with Dmi that the rest of us don't know about? Please note that I don't want you to answer that, just that it seems pretty obvious to me.

Actually, thrawn1020, the pertinent part of that quote was "But if you want to know, I track electrical flows to see who accessed whose cryopod during the night." That was the explanation for which I had asked.

Since we lynched according to Dmi's claim, we can pretty much say that the majority of us believe his claim. Therefore, we want him to answer correctly and investigate again. The problem with limiting the others is the possiblilty of tying the hands of a necessary protective role that could get us the results of Dmi's investigation tomorrow.

Dmi's last investigation had Coron visiting Leonidas, who was killed by freezing in his cryogenic pod... not the violent death. If Coron turns out to be evil (as we all hope) then chances are good he wasn't the SK. If everyone answers, we could lose three people again tonight. If we can't think of a way to limit the answers it just seems like THAT is helping scum. It's so frustrating but Dmi may be right, now may be too soon to limit the answers. Like he said, it may have to wait for the endgame.

With limiting answers I see a few problems. THe main one of course is that we are limiting the pro-town roles as well as the scum roles. Secondly, the pro-town roles only have limited targets with limited people answering correctly. Now this could be a good thing, but if scum can't go out to kill, we can't catch them with out night actions.

there's also the issue of if scum don't target, dmi doesn't catch scum.

Our only information role is only useful for checking who scum target, if scum never get to target due to wrong answer, dmi never catches the scum.

If we had some reliable cop roles I might agree to limiting the answer pool, but as it stands we really shouldn't limit the answering people.
