I don't know the male perspective on this. I hear stories about being called a virgin and how men react to the statement.
Women on the other hand well it a case by case study.
Some are happy to be called virgins. Some are insulted. Some will laugh at you for said statement.

Usually virgin isn't an insult from a female point of view

but I know most get insulted by being called a slut.

I say ask multiple men what they think if someone said what TSQ said and ask how they would react.

Personally I found it insulting.

And to that bolded person, I have never met a woman be offended by being called a virgin, unless they dress like a whore to the point that no one wants to sleep with them (then I just laugh).

There is a reason why some call down there a flower, or sacred. Most women want sex with feelings, not for the sake of losing their virginity.

Just so you understand. I come from a very weird family. On one side is the starchy don't do this, don't be like this and always be a lady.
The other side is very sexual and open family.
My mom didn't care as long as you were protected. However being a virgin past the age of 18 is a novalty in CA never mind my family.
Now mind you I'm 34 with a child so this is just so you understand the being offended part.
One day I was getting a ride home from a guy I knew at work. I was 20 and still a virgin.

He told me when we talked that the only women who are virgins are 8 year olds who have not slept with their brother.

It was pretty offensive to me at that age and upsetting. I never thought anything wrong with waiting but some people made it seem like a joke. Hence why after a certain point I didn't care either and felt offended with the jokes. But once again this is from a virgin 20 year old that is long gone.

Well virgins at 18 are odd too, because all the kids do around here is get drunk and/or high and have sex. (Living in the suburbs sucks)

My family is shaped like yours. Open on one side, Uptight on the other.

And you and I come at this from different stages of our lives. I'm 18 and still technically a virgin (I don't count my ex-girlfriend and what we did, and I'm not going there).

kids of my own. I work with them too much. And then it would mean i'd have to socialize with other parents all the time, and I think at the age of 18 I've dealt with enough spoiled/"entitled" kids and their parents that don't give... BESIDES I don't even know if i have kids, which works for me.

Then that's the parents fault for having children irresponsibly. I have respect for women who purposefully fuck up their bodies because they don't care about having children. It shows planning and forethought.

Most of the kids I deal with are from families that make 600,000 to 1 mill a year... BAH I hate rich families.
