Adel, im of the live and let live persuasion when it comes to people doing what they want with their bodies regardless of health risks. I also don't see why reproductive abilities are so sacred when people have no problem giving them up. This can just be bitterness talking though.

I honestly don't understand why people are so willing to throw away their reproductive capacity. I'm technically unable to have children, and most assuredly wish I could. I generally haven't mentioned it, but it does irritate me when someone is like "Who gives a damn? Having a baby would suck anyway". I'm not sure precisely where I'm going with this...but it does seem rather...callous I guess?

When your body shuts down a function as biologically important as the ability to reproduce, that has got to be a warning sign that you are doing something wrong.
Right now Daddy Culture is teaching an ideal that is not only unobtainable for many (which often encourages them to just give up and get obese) but it is also physically unhealthy from a multi-year perspective.
I'm not talking policy here -- even elective amputation would be legal in my utopia -- just what is probably healthy for most people.

Maybe there isn't. But I know that in my heart I wish I could be a mother. It's not just having a child. It's the experience as well. No matter how horrible it might feel, it's an experience I desire, as well as the experience of caring for a child.

kids of my own. I work with them too much. And then it would mean i'd have to socialize with other parents all the time, and I think at the age of 18 I've dealt with enough spoiled/"entitled" kids and their parents that don't give... BESIDES I don't even know if i have kids, which works for me.

Then that's the parents fault for having children irresponsibly. I have respect for women who purposefully fuck up their bodies because they don't care about having children. It shows planning and forethought.
