The second day of deliberation passed in little more than a chaotic blur.

A cacophony of opinions boomed through the air loudly as emotions soared and tempers ignited, and yet, a verdict was reached with blinding speed. With the decision came a perturbing silence that eased itself over the town of Merrin once more, the only sound coming from the calming trickle of water from the central fountain, and the grumbling of dark, ominous clouds in the distance. Unlike the day before, the atmosphere about the group was frighteningly still, as if Merrin itself waited anxiously for the events of the day to finally unfold. Merrin had drawn in breath, and was now anticipating the sudden eruption of a violent storm.

looked about the square calmly, though the venomous gleam in her deep eyes made it well known that she did not intend to go quietly. Her silky tresses of flaming red hair cascaded downward elegantly, contrasting the vile convulsions of anger and disbelief that rooted her to the spot. Stepping slowly from her spot, she pulled the lining of her sleek, jet black and floor-length coat tighter about her thin form, as if to ensure herself a false sense of security. Jaw trembling, Zilla inhaled ruggedly through flared nostrils, before preparing a final attempt to save herself.

"You can't be serious,"

she seethed through gritted teeth,

"I have been nothing but helpful to the group. I am being condemned for speaking out against the puppeteers! They are controlling you all, surely you must see this!"

"Give it up, Zilla,"

she growled lowly, lip curling ominously as she groped at her coat. Slowly, her hands slipped inside, searching frantically for something that lay hidden within.

"Not yet you aren't!"

Before she had a chance to reveal the item in question, both

were upon her. Both had quickly reacted, charging at full speed directly towards Zilla, whom they were determined to disarm. The two clothes-lined her with a gruesome thud, sending her plummeting to the ground. Twisting her body to brace herself, Zilla screeched, limbs flailing in her descent. She landed awkwardly upon her right arm, a loud, nauseating crack echoed through the courtyard at the impact.

Once again, Zilla shrieked, and for good reason. As both SensFan and Dourgrim skidded to a halt and rounded upon her once more, both were met with the site of their target clawing at her arm, attempting to push the broken bone that had punctured her flesh back into place. Blood oozed from the wound as she sobbed aloud. Her coat, once in pristine condition, now rest shredded, having caught a low-hanging branch as she collapsed.

Without her coat, the wounded Zilla had no means of hiding the attire and items she had kept out of sight. Clad entirely in leather, from the tightly-pulled and ribbed corset to the all-too revealing mini skirt, Zilla’s appearance left the inhabitants of Merrin with little doubt that Zilla was not as innocent as she had led them to believe. A hot pink boa wrought of feathers draped from her shoulders, while glittering, plastic bead necklaces clung to her neck, matching the flourescent fish net stockings that ran down her legs, before becoming buried beneath her polished boots. A small and secure hilt bounced in its sheath about her thigh, while a gun protruded from its holster upon her waist. Without thinking, Zilla whipped out the dagger with her free hand, to reveal a blade stained with dried blood.

"Come any closer,"

she barked through tears,

"and I will gut you both."

She threw her head about wildly, struggling to keep herself upright as she pled to the town.

"I am, and always have been innocent! I have been framed! I swear it!"

However, the people of Merrin were done listening to the provocatively dressed young woman before them. SensFan strode forward confidently, flanked on both sides by Dourgrim and Beyond_Birthday, who eyed the holstered gun closely. Swiftly, SensFan wrenched the boa from about Zilla's shoulders, and coiled it about the base of her neck. Zilla made to burry the dagger into Sens' arm, but the cunning young man simply slapped it from her weak grasp. Zilla watched in horror as her last means of survival danced across the cobbles. Zilla watched as any hope of life vanished.

Methodically, SensFan slid the boa tightly around her throat, constricting her wind pipes harshly. Try as she might to fight against him, Zilla's punches continued to grow weaker from both lack of blood and breath. Her eyes bulged in their sockets as her face flushed a stunning violet. Clawing Sens feebly several times, Zilla finally began to fade. Her eyes rolled back into their sockets as, with a final tug, SensFan felt the vertebrae supporting Zilla's head shatter.

The many beads wrapped around her neck exploded into a shower of painted plastic orbs, which rained upon the town square with a gentle sigh. Many scurried away from their mistress, while just as many more collected around Zilla as her breath hitched. Zilla fell limp, blood pooling about her as darkness overtook her.

A lone boy ran through the streets just as dawn revealed itself to the quiet town of Merrin.

His worn sandals clapped consistently upon the dampened cobbles, keeping time with the ring of keys fastened to a sagging belt loop. Looking around carefully, the young boy hurried across the main thoroughfare, flakes of dried mud leaping from both his wild hair and grimy, tattered clothes. Rounded cheeks flushed a rosy red, the boy clenched several coins into the palm of his hand. Breath coming in short pants, he held onto these coins as if his life depended on it, racing towards the closest news stand in hopes of being the first to learn of any recent developments.

When the unkempt boy finally rounded the last corner, his spirits plummeted back to earth. The shopping area was already swarming with townsfolk, each ripping through their recently bought newspapers anxiously. Some slumped onto the curbs, while others paced back and forth, conversing back and forth so quickly that the boy could not hope to understand them. Nervously, he advanced upon the stand, eyeing the mounds of newspapers in awe.

". . . can't believe it!" someone cried.

". . . what does it mean?" another asked in little more than a mumur.

Soon as the boy was able to steal a glance at the front page, he realized what the sudden commotion was all about. In bold letters running across the freshly-printed paper, the night developments sent tremors of shock running through his body. His palm shook ever so slightly, but he quickly slapped his hand against his chest to ensure he lost none of his coins.

To his (and all the inhabitants of Merrin) relief, no bodies had been found the night before. Merrin had been spared from the discovery of more ghastly murder scenes. All was calm . . . for the time being.

All is forgiven, Sensfan. That was pretty awesome. And I will no longer bring up mykionian (or Panzer's) "slips" of Zilla/dejkha as town.


spring's qwints connection. She demanded I provide my reasoning, and once I provided it, she ignored it.

And there is a connection to Zilla/dejkha, too.

In post 270, spring unvoted dejkha, because Zilla replaced him. Goat asked why replacement warrants reset, and spring said she would answer after she has seen more from Zilla.

And she did not vote again until Post 753, almost 500 posts later, and still has not exlpained why replacement warranted reset. And this vote for BB almost 500 posts after her unvote of dejkha was because BB suspected Zilla. Chainsaw goes BBBBRBRRRRZRZZZRRZRZTTTTT.

spring has contributed very lightly to our scumhunting efforts. She made the post on dejkha early on, made the above-mentioned post voting for BB, and then a post voting for Panzer because he said he wasn't going to read posts, even though he had already said this four times.

anyway, this is most certainly a doc save. I can't imagine a second roleblocker-type role in it (to avoid possible problems), and nightkill immune roles are not considered that normal, isn't it? So I guess we got lucky!

I didn't expect Zilla to come up scum, that probably makes sens town. I can't imagine scum that "accidentaly" hammers a mafia powerrole. Seen the power we have seen from the mafia, the town must have its part too, and I don't see how sens-scum could have thought he could win that.
