If it was Caboose, he is Investigation immune. The message said he was town.

But is there any guarantee this was an investigation rather than just thoughts?

While calling Hero was right, it still could have been a guess.

Thirdly, I've only been assuming it was lain, it could be something else.

Finally, no guarantee of townie lain. Mao has been town before. So has Rei.

As I said, you basically had to claim the note in case the messenger was able to do something about you. I'm running out of ideas to be honest. I kinda wanna vote Caboose as well since he could be a godfather...the more I think about it the more likely he is. Of course, voting you is still sound since you are either mafia or SK at this point. It's a matter of which is which.
