Do you mean that specifically with regard to post 56, or to the whole concept of Gateway being scum?

I always change my vote tons of times.

I find frequent vote switches suspicious, since it makes getting a read difficult.

General thought; I think there is a mafia-led bandwagon against gateway.

I'd like to hear more about your reasoning for this.

I'm sick with something vaguely similar to strep throat, so I apologise for my brevity, I am not up to a long post at the moment.

Panzer: I'm having more fun as this alt than I have had with mafia for a long time, so I do not feel that I will be revealing my identity any time soon. That said, you are so unbelievably right about Gateway, that role is so ridiculously broken it's beyond anything that could be called reasonable.

People: Each night he gets a list of an innocent and a scum, and he can then kill one of them. That is so overpowered, it isn't even worth talking about.

It isn't an investigation role as I don't know which is the mafia, but using the two names by day two we can really start to figure it out. I say let me make it tonight so that.
1.) They waste a kill on me tonight and maybe we get one today.
2.) I live to tomorrow and offer the two names, giving us a two possible people to work on.

Either one of those seem good and if I can't prove this role tomorrow (I need at least one night phase) then I'll be the insta lynch right?

Of course, you could always just, you know, give us a name of one of your mafia partners, should you be mafia.

1. Is there any reason that you addressed your opinion of the case on Gateway to that post specifically?

I know you are scum now Panzer as I said my plan on night one was to collect the two names as evidence and you chose to ignore that and try to point out I can kill. Hoping to get that hammer vote in.

When I die and it says I was a hitman, let it be known Panzerjager was the obvious give away as scum to me, as well as MafiaSSK. (and Az said the mod was a dick if my role existed )

I didn't avoid it. You cited the game it was in and I said that you were either lying in this game or that one. I can't quote it or I get modkilled. it's like post 87 in that game. It's not a giveaway if it's not true. You are obviously floundering here.

Also you would be stupid not to kill. If you kill and the names are 1 scum and 1 town, all you have to do is look at the alignment of the player you killed. Also it is incredibly easy to fake.

EBWOP: In case the issue was context, in the theme games I played in the past we had to try and stay in some character so the first one I played out like the retiree I was, using 'taking care of' because kill seemed wrong wording in the theme of the role I got. When it became obvious people only wanted exact mechanics and not to add any sort of theme to my posts, I cleared it up.

So less then three days of playing with me doesn't make experience.

This game has a hidden role mechanic,

which makes this game different from others.

Notice that he mentions "

a

hidden role mechanic", which is singular. If he's only referring to a single unorthadox role, I don't think this is significant enough to place in a game description. I'd expect something more.

If he

referring to that role, it could be linked to other players (i.e. passing information to the cop), but again, I don't buy this. Getting one scum name handed to him on a plate each night is not feasible - I've never seen a role anywhere near this powerful.

sekinj, I'm concerned that you seem to have suddenly become convinced that Gateway's claim is not false. As you said, the scum would need a powerful counter-balance - what could this even be? Why do you find the claim so believable?
