Not neccesarily. I've seen scum claim that they were still town after they died before, simply to psyche the town out. After thinking about it a little more, I'm not so certain that it's a bus as much as him trying to avoid from committing to the Millar wagon, since it's the most likely one to lead to a lynch at this point. This not only reeks of genuine frustration, but also similar to something that I could definately see a townie that they felt that was being lynched unfairly saying.
