I'm a genius. You are too, as well as Panzer. Seriously, I thought that Myko's language barrier was to blame, but I also knew I would get him sooner or later if scum, which is the real reason I revolted against my own plan. (It was all a ruse to make Myko go for it.)

Also, I mean that my flavor had it so that I was running after Myko, who I saw enter X's house, and then I apparently slipped, fell, hit a bench and was conked out till morning. Awesome.

What more would you want, assuming you weren't the Scum I hammered?

GIEFF: if you say it was accidental, I have no choice but to believe you at this point. It doesn't mean it's a good thing, though, and frankly I still don't see how one's fingers can "accidentally" type the letters s-c-u-m instead of g-r-i-m without being considered spin-doctoring.

This game brought up something I've noticed here and elsewhere since my return to mafiascum: what's with all the open hostility and just general mean-spiritedness around here nowadays? I know things got a bit heated between GIEFF and myself early in the game, but at no point did I go out of my way to insult GIEFF, and I believe (all spin-doctoring accusations aside) neither did he. Do the rest of you genuinely find that sort of play effective? Do you find it entertaining? Do you think it's reasonable to believe the other players will be equally entertained by it, or is that not a worthwhile factor to you? I'm genuinely curious here.

Hi. Some of you may remember me as the scum who had to replace out due to illness early on Day 1 and was replaced by qwintz. I've been following along here and there, and I just wanted to say: I'm so f'-ing glad I got out of this game when I could :}

The same way my fingers "accidentally" typed "lynched" instead of "linked" and the same way every other subconscious brain-fart happens.

I agree with you that people got way too mean in this game.

But at least "lynched" and "linked" sound alike and have many similar letters... hehehe! No hard feelings either way, GIEFF, but I hope you see where I'm coming from with that.

... but that is why this is a game of persuasion. If you know all 3 mafia, it does no good unless you persuade half the town to lynch them.

oh, and GIEFF, you only found 2 slips, I though. Sens found one too. But you made that point hard for yourself by overdoing it. Most of the things you picked out were put there conciously. Most obviously with zilla :)

Ah, that's interesting. You continued to "slip" and call Zilla a townie on purpose, and that was actually part of the reason I wasn't as comfortable with her lynch on day one. And when she flipped scum, it made me question the other slips, too. I think that was a very smart thing to do.

Myko, you missed the point. You should not be consciously putting 'slips', since it still looks bad on you.

I think my "obvscum" comment in pre-game did a lot more harm than good.

/agreed. Even between Zilla and myself I don't remember any open hostility or mean-spiritedness. Just wild and crazy accusations of misrepresentation! If there was any, I apologize. Understandably tempers can get riled up but no need to get personal about it.

I find it genuinely interesting as well that my questions are being largely ignored. Perhaps it's because many of the players stopped watching this thread... I would be genuinely insulted if it was because they didn't perceive the question as being worthy of an answer.

Do be completely honest, I've largely ignored them because it looks like your idea isn't to ask questions, but to call me out.

I don't feel like I have any meaningful discussion to contribute, hence "ignoring" it. I didn't mean to be mean, and it didn't look like it had actually gotten out of hand or anything.

Not at all, SensFan. I wasn't even specifically addressing you in particular, to be honest, but rather was asking about playstyles in general. I've noticed a much more hostile playstyle becoming more prevalent around here, and I was trying to figure out how effective it is and whether it adds to the entertainment value of the game as a whole (since the entire point of a game is to provide entertainment for the players). I apologize if you feel like I was "calling you out" specifically... that was not my intention.

I'm an aggressive player, very aggressive.
