By whom though? Fonz made a good point earlier about him probably not having nightactions if he's town and telling the truth, so the mafia probably wont want to. And whats going to make a vigilante want to take him out if they dont know if he's telling the truth or not?

An unlynchable townie is a HUGE liability for the scum the later they get into the game. As of now, as no one has claimed mega-super-lighting-babe unlimited daykill vig, their best bet is to kill Xt. If he's town I don't expect him alive tomorrow.

And how would lynching him be a waste? we confirm that he's telling the truth if he dies. If he was lying and scum, then one less scum, and if he was lying but town, then IMO it was probably a stupid lie to make in the first place.

I also wouldn't expect scum to deliberately propose an obviously townharming plan. I don't think I've EVER seen an argument about game mechanics in which the scum deliberately proposed an antitown one; the disagreement, and hostility engendered, is usually between townies who have alternative visions, and are utterly convinced they their plan is so protown that only scum could object.

We don't know if there's a vig in the game. If there isn't, Xtoxm doesn't die at night, no matter whether he's town or not. Why would scum kill him now when his mere existence is a distraction they can manipulate?

Xtoxm won't help us in any way. He won't full claim. He won't play the game. He'll just be siiting there being entirely useless and hurting the town until he dies. Therefore, we lynch him now to test his claim, since it's about the most useful thing that can be done with him.

Ok, that is pretty good point. But at the same time I don't want to WIFOM an excuse for what I consider scummy play on his part.

(The reason he's wrong is this... we already have a vote for players who are scummy. It's a lynch vote).

I think Xtoxm is trying too hard to GET lynched. This automatically makes me want to *not* lynch him. He's lurking enough to piss people off and this is exactly what I would do if I wanted to get lynched, not if I wanted to prove myself as town and lynchable. I say we let him get vigged tonight. Either by the town actually having a vig or by the town as a whole directing the doc to *not* protect xtoxm. This gives the scum the option to either have a small chance of being foiled by the doc or take the sure kill on xtoxm.

I don't think he's stupid. There's nothing inherently ridiculous about his plan- it's counterintuitive, but being mayor could force a scum to act more in the interests of town than they would like.
