As much as I hate to say it, Zwet's in the clear this game. Mafia would know that the Army was the uninformed and therefore NOT make that slip. Town that thought they were scum? That's right up their alley.

Read Space Monkey Mafia. That game had precisely what this did: The town was put in the flavor as the baddies, and in their roles were put as baddies that had lost contact with each other. The town took about half the game before realising that they were claiming to try to lynch the wrong group.

I'm surprised I didn't notice it at the start. I assumed I had a traitor-type role, which I'm sure was EXACTLY what Lawrencelot wanted us to think.

I didn't have this experiance (and honestly, I forgot that my role name was associated with bowser's army ) so I just saw that I was not in an informed minority and assumed town.

You wouldn't have as much by way of visuals/flavor text to connect it with. But your role? Nuh-uh. Mario baddies have a distinctive and memorable appearance and are known and loved by most of the gaming world. No one would forget.

I wasn't using that as an excuse for a reason that I didn't know my role was bowsers army (as it says that in the PM), but I didn't realize it until after my initial glance at the PM where I was only trying to infer alignment (I usually skip flavor/pictures until afterwords, it helps with situations such as this).

A quick glance at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_enemies combined with my own knowledge of Galaxy, means that there are only a handful of roles that fit. I still don't buy it.

Sorry, Gorrad, but in a previous Rebels in the Palace setup I started playing, the uninformed majority were town. And as this game follows a similar logic, I don't see the point in your logic.

I thought I was scum, as my role was a Mario Baddy. I was wrong. I expect most townies to, like me, not have understood at first that they were town due to Bowser's Army traditionally being the bad guys. Therefore I suspect you and Ace, as y'all assumed that every townie knew they were such, despite the fact that the flavor is counter-intuitive.

To clarify why I thought I was scum despite being uninformed, I basically thought I was a traitor-type role. AKA one with a scum win condition who is uninformed.

As long as you do not quote (a part of) your role pm, and you use your own words, you can talk about your role PM. If you are not sure if your post violates any rules or not, PM me your post first.

Exactly. The town will always (or well, who knows, so let's say usually) be the uninformed majority. The flavour has nothing to do with this. However, I want to believe for now that Gorrad really thought that he was one of the bad guys. In the other hand, Zwet's slip is just too big to ignore. However, taking into account the item list the mod posted, there's also a chance that he belongs to a third party, thus why the surprise. One way or another, I'm happy with my vote.

Yeah, after a few seconds of confusion I decided I was town because of this and because the win condition looks reasonably like a town one.

We can assume that scum would know that Bowser's army is town and so wouldn't make any obvious mistakes, but assuming there is a DK and a Wario in the game they could still have been caught out by it. Therefore I dont think we can wholly confirm Zwet at this point.

@ Emp, it's kinda obvious that someone was going to ask you for reasons, but I'm going to do it anyway... reasons for your vote plz.
@ Shin, what makes Gorrad likely town and zwet likely anti-town? they have both purported to have done the same thing.

I would like everyone's opinions on this subject. I think we can evaluate some genuine reactions which I was aiming to since the beginning. So far, we have some interesting ones and Ill analyse them later.
