In that case, his first post would be based on the fact that he knew Bowser's Army was town and that the fact would soon be revealed. The second set of posts would have been by a scum worried that the item-claiming would help the town or hurt him.

I think the posts are more consistent with townie reasoning. I think it's obvious that townies realized they were in the majority and spoke out about it. I also think it's common for townies to have problems with outing information.

Checking in from sunny San Diego. I have no item descriptions, so I cannot comment on the effectiveness of Tajo's strategy. Orlotan looks scummy as sin, though. WAY different from the Orlotan in Election Mafia. Zwet and Looker are after Tajo not because he's scummy, but because they are both, in my experience with them, not particularly good at this game.

With zwets, I agree. Were he not confirmed town in my eyes, I would be pushing a policy lynch on him right now. I have half a mind to do it anyways. The bad news is that scum has zero incentive to get rid of him, so he gets to inject his brand of abbreviated poison into endgame.

Looker, on the other hand, just screams newb at me. I don't have a read yet.

I wouldn't insult their intelligence by saying that they're both wrong. They're voting for each other, believe that each other are scum - one of them has to be scum, right?

That's just a naive statement. Not an incriminating one.

Assuming you mean the bom-omb, none of these answers are correct.

Everyone who declared item knowledge has answered a question now. Discussion understandably got bogged down a bit during this episode, so I'm hoping it continues to pick up now. I'll do my bit:

ortolan seems to be a popular choice but I think I prefer Looker. I don't think the posts qwints flagged up preclude Shin from being scum at all. Declaring Bowser's Army as the town isn't a town tell, given that scum had that knowledge and were probably more sure about it in general than the town. She was also using that knowledge to try and convict another player - one who, given the current info, I have to say is probably town. Furthermore, Shin ignored questions I asked her multiple times. Looker himself has also made a decidedly unsatisfactory start. All aspects of his play (not just the early vote) seem to have a 'tactless' element to them so I don't really buy his refusal to talk about items on those grounds.

Seeing as we're approaching deadline and I seem to have 5 votes on me, you may ask me a question about the items, I do in fact have the descriptions and have no intention of being another deadline lynch driven by scum as per Election Mafia. I will note that populartajo has effectively prevented any genuine attempt at scum-hunting today with his "plan".

I will also note that if populartajo continues to suspect me after I correctly answer a question about the items, this will amount to an acknowledgement that his plan was useless to begin with (because this will imply that, I, as scum, in fact do have the descriptions, and this method is totally ineffective at distinguishing town from scum).

I love games where I can just point right at the scum because they're the ones voting me with blatantly crap/no reasons. Town failed to listen to me in Election Mafia at their peril (Gorrad of all people should know this).
