I love produce, but the four vegetables I cannot stand are eggplant, mushrooms, okra, and spinach.

Because they didn't seem like they were pointed at anyone else but Henrz, since you quoted his post.

I have to get ready for work, but I will answer them when I get home. :D

RVS can be helpful but can also be unhelpful, all depending on the game. I think you asking questions like these will help break RVS earlier rather than later.
DOESnotWANT wrote:Why did you pick this game in particular?
I've never done this type of game and it sounded pretty cool.

DOESnotWANT wrote:Who do you expect to be the first person to be lynched this game, and why?
Way too early to tell.

Not sure. No reads on anybody yet.

I pretty clearly labeled one question towards him, and the others towards other people.

Why did you feel the need to answer them now?
I was reading in a rush before I went to work yesterday. After you pointed it out, I went back and saw that not the whole post was directed towards him and answered your questions. Why the hostility?

I wouldn't say I'm being hostile. I would say I'm playing a game of mafia, and asking you a question about an action you took in said game.

Is there some particular reason you don't want people questioning your actions?
FOS: Starbuck
Absolutely not. Question me all day, but question me about game related stuff rather than the fact that I was on my way out the door to work when I realized that there were other questions that weren't related to Henrz for everyone else.

I feel that I definitely am asking you questions about the game. First of all, using an excuse such as "I was on my way out the door lol" does nothing to placate me, because 1) I have absolutely no way of verifying that, so it does absolutely dick to me in terms of my position, and 2) if you don't have time to post, you shouldn't post anyway, for this exact reason.

The general thrust of my attack wasn't that you didn't answer the questions. It was rather that you didn't answer them, and then when someone pointed them out to you, you decided you should answer them after all. This shows to me that you're trying to avoid attention, a point that seems confirmed to me when you term my even handed, reasonable questions as "Hostility" What do you think we're doing, playing tiddly winks? This is mafia.

Non-Random Vote: Starbuck

I'm an American and currently live in Sicily because I am stationed here with the Navy. I leave for work at around 7 am my time (1 am EST), and I don't normally get home until around 4 pm my time (10 am EST). Sometimes I do get a chance to catch up at work, but not very often.
I'm telling you this, so hopefully you can understand my schedule.

I really didn't have the time to stop on my way out to work to answer those questions, which is why I said I would answer them later on. I didn't say I would not answer them. There's a big difference.

I'm not quite sure how the fact that I would have been late to work if I stopped to answer those at that very second has anything to do with the game.

The goal of this game is not to vote for yourself. It's to decipher and solve and find out who the scummiest people are.

Voting for yourself is anti-town. It's a stance I will always take because it is against the spirit of the game.

The other account was an accident. As for the RV, Absolutely nothing, which is why it is scummy. We didn't need to get out of the RVS so badly that you needed to act like scum.
You've made that 'accident' too many times now.
I agree with this. There's an easy fix. Just don't look at this thread when you are on that account. You said it's your mod account right? I don't really feel comfortable with the fact that you could easily come in and edit your post whenever you feel like it with that account.

There are better ways to stimulate conversation other than self-voting. Henrz only joined just a few days before I did, so I would say he should have been around long enough now to know better.

I didn't ignore him at all.

There ARE much better ways to stimulate conversation.

The fact that someone would place a vote on themselves is completely against the way Mafia is played. If you want to think me suspicious for this, fine. I really don't care.

The fact that you have nothing else on me other than the fact that I think self-voting is wrong is pretty scummy on your part.

There were good consequences from it, but then again there could have been negative consequences. Any time I've seen a self-vote, negative consequences have always occurred. It's why I am staunchly against it. It's a personal preference of my own. I don't like self-voting.

What has it done to the game other than having us all fight about whether self-voting is wrong? This game should be moved to the Mafia Discussion section of this forum because that's what it has turned into.

It's unfortunate that you all let my personal preference of not liking self-voting be the main reason behind my lynch, rather than finding anything actually scummy. I have been working on a notepad document that I was going to post now that I got home from work. Now all that hard work has gone to waste and it's not worth posting because it's obvious that you all just didn't care. I would have hoped that a claim would have been waited for from such
experienced
mafia players or that the replacement would be given time to catch up. I will be sure not to place into games with any of you again.

It's just crap. I was asked to give my suspicions. I've had a notepad document going because I prefer big analysis posts rather than the 5 billion posts people make when doing analysis. I was going to finish it up when I got home and post it. I was getting ready to and noticed I was hammered. No wait, no nothing. I really was looking forward to this game, thank you all for ruining it based on the fact that I hate self-voting rather than anything scummy.

I did have my analysis and stuff all ready to be posted, and when I came in to see that I was hammered (scum or not). You guys just weren't going to get it. This was my first game playing a neighbors style game, and I was pretty disappointed with the way everything went on day 1.
