Ok, so i have thought about this for a long time and i figure that since it makes little difference now, and it could be helpful to the town, i am going to claim my role.

I am a 1-shot Vigilante, and last night i targeted ZaZier because i thought he was very scummy and frankly i couldnt take anymore of his spam. I say this because i think it will help the town. I figure that I killed Zazier last night and the mafia could have been blocked by a roleblocker (if we have one) or something similar. It just doesnt seem like the mafia would take out ZaZier since he was the scummiest looking person to many people. If you want, you can lynch me today to prove my role and decide who to lynch tomorrow. But this post is mainly to the roleblocker (if we have one) or any other role that could stop the mafia from killing in the night, to vote for that person. I am not sure if you should claim or not, but maybe you can convince the town without claiming.

Again, i am perfectly fine dying today to prove what i am saying if it will benefit the town, because right now it feels like alot of you find me suspicious anyways and i dont seem to be beneficial in discussion anyways. But I strongly believe Nachomamma is the mafia, just want to put that out there for future reference.

So Yankee, you're basically telling us that you are a One-Shot Vig and you targeted Zazie, which means that the mafia's kill was stopped. Do you retain your shot after it was blocked, and did you get a PM from the Mod telling you your ability was out?

If you did succeed in getting a kill and the mafia didn't, I'm guessing it was a doctor or a hider or a bodyguard or a screamer, basically something we don't want the mafia to know about.

Anyways, enough speculation. If you are a pro-town roleblocker who blocked someone else last night, I'd recommend waiting until you are 100% sure you can't get your target lynched by the normal means before claiming, or if you have reason to believe you will be NKed or lynched.

I would say no. His shot went through. In the/invitational I'm playing, I think the mod even says if you're roleblocked you would not get your shot back. It would count as using your ability.

Yankee, claiming wasn't the best (or even close, ) move. You should generally only claim if

1) you're about to be lynched
2) your information will help lynch scum greatly
3) you have a reason to believe that you will be NKed, and you have information to help the town

I don't think #2 applies here. A cop claim with several townies to clear, or a member of the scumteam, is a good example. In this game your claim can help, but not as easily. It could be a roleblocker, who now has information, but it could also be a doctor-protect, as well as other more complicated roles (Nacho, what's a screamer? I didn't find it in the wiki). As Kirby mentioned, it could have been a double-target. I doubt Yankee would retain his shot in that scenario.

Usually the way a scumteam works is that a GF will send in the kill, and he can send anyone. Or if there's no GF, I think anyone can send the kill.

We really need a GD replacement to sort this out.
