Also, forgot to ask
Bear
, you stated that you read the discussion between Confid and DRK. So how come you missed Confid's statements that DRK started the jester speculation, when this was the point of said discussion?
Also, you stated earlier you disagreed with Confid. So what happened?

i prefer to think of you as a 'her'. i know what 'active lurking' means. if you want to argue semantics we can, but the point is made. you claim that you were 'actively' avoiding posting in this thread. you were aware enough of what was going on here that you chose to stay away instead of post. so yeah.

'Active lurking' = When posting, posting nothing of substance.
See BN's posts for good examples.

Also, no, I have missed a lot and have no idea what has happened in the last pages. I'm now at Page 28.
Why do you think otherwise?

you are asking questions pertaining to what has been happening. what pages are your questions derived from.

re: active lurking
semantics arguments go nowhere. your actions were anti-town at best. saying you are posting substance is no the same as actually posting substance. actively avoiding a thread is a degree of active lurking imo. not sure where you want this discussion to go, but i'd prefer you post what you need to and do it soon. deadline is near and town seems awfully divided. your recent actions have put you amongst the lynch candidates. so whatever. catch up.

I thought we were talking about DRK, not what Nook did.
Confid wrote:Hunting for a jester distracts from scumhunting, so starting a conversation about a jester is antitown in nature.
Uhm, no. That's not the reason. Because the jester argument gets used when somebody is acting very scummy that it seems he wants to be lynched. Hunting for a jester is good as it gets rid of a scummy looking player.

Thought experiment:

I call my friend and ask him if he would like to order pizza.
My friend responds that his phone was garbled and he doesn't understand what I said.
Someone else orders a pizza.

Question: WHO ORDERED A PIZZA?

If you are voting for DRK based on him starting the jester discussion, explain one of the following:

1) How the thought experiment doesn't mirror what happened (Starting here, for your convenience)
2) How, in the thought experiment, I ordered pizza.
3) How you suck so bad at logic and/or reading

Otherwise, explain the other reasons for your vote. In this analogy it would be like DRK microwaving some bagel bites.

When you have scumtells on a bagel, you can have scumtells anytime.

Why does that make you want to lynch me any more than you already did?

Bringing up a Jester = creating unnecessary speculation. This is the internet, we all mistrust each other enough as it is. Jester speculation begins all kinds of "should we really lynch him, he might WANT to be lynched" WIFOM.
QFT
How does any of that apply to this situation?

...Because you brought up the speculation of a jester...... do you not recall...??
Did you not read the discussion I had with CA about this exact post??? Let's pretend you're right and I did cause us to discuss jesters. You agree with KoC's reasons why bringing up a jester is scummy - how does any of what KoC said apply to this specific instance of jester discussion?

Unvote, vote: BigBear

I don't at all like BB's recent posts and as of this moment, I think my vote is going to be more useful on him than on DJ. Then again, I don't like DJ's whole semantics thing ("active lurking" is a much stronger accusation than "lurking"), but I'll iso/meta him later and see what I think then. Either way though, I definitely wouldn't be against his lynch.

@Raskol
Better to have Zazie trying to catch up on 3 or 4 pages than to have another replacement trying to catch up on 36 pages, especially with only a couple of days left until deadline.

Meh...Zaz is still blacklisted, and I'll never allow myself to be in another game with him, but I won't replace out of this game even if he doesn't...at least not this time. He should be on zero tolerance for the rest of the game, though---one more prod and he should be out. If the mod doesn't get on top of prods, I can't make any promises.

For now, I suppose I'm willing to write his absence off as stupid, shitty, assholeish play. I want to win this game, and I don't think he's most likely to be scum. I guess I'll have to tolerate his mind-bogglingly annoying and anti-town posting style for a while, and relinquish my unending hatred of all lurkers, much as I hate to do either.

Upon reading some of don_johnson's games, I have determined that he is playing to his meta. I can assure you that we are in fact dealing with don_johnson. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble determining alignment from his meta and the fact that he replaced in isn't helping.

Hopefully I'll have more success with BigBear.

Meta is normally something you supplement a read with, not base a read off of. Im going to do a skim of BB and BN/DJ to see where my vote gets moved too, but im thinking its going to be DJ at this point.

@Furry

Well I did already have a scum read on DJ, but considering it would be fairly transparent too many scum to be on the leading deadline wagon, I'm trying to avoid haphazard lynching based on things that could be explained away by meta. On the flip side, I was hoping there would be something obvious that went against one of their metas that would point to scum. Unfortunately, I have nothing meta-wise on either of them. I presently find either of them scummy enough for a vote, so
unvote, vote: don_johnson
to even out the wagons.

The fact that no one on the DRK wagon is making a strong push at this late stage of the game and instead is just letting it slide to the deadline lynch is really concerning me. All but ready to vote DJ at this point, just one thing I want to see happen first to reaffirm my thoughts about that lynch.
