I've used that argument before, when looking for scum. Even if I didn't use that argument against her, the points against her could be applied to many other players.Cyberbob wrote:Because it's one of the most god-awful things I've ever seen. "It's too scummy to be scummy!!!" is not good in any way shape or form and you should be drawing a lot more suspicion than you currently are.
1: No, I'm not. I don't know how you drew that conclusion. I see that contributing more is helpful to the town, however, you can't judge allignment based on contribution. If that were the case, then scum would contribute more, but that just creates WIFOM.xRx wrote:1: Are you really asking my why helpfulness = pro-town? What kind of question is that?
2: Were they, now?
3: Are you completely ignoring my following post?
2: Yep. Here are the reasons;
Keep in mind that this was the post where she gave her thoughts on you, and her previous post was post #454.Snow_Bunny in post 526 wrote:[A: xReck voted Vaya for basically lurking, and yet he ignores MM's sudden lurking.][B: He's even hypocrite enough to say that my reasons to vote for Cyber are convenient, when he doesn't have a real reason to vote for Cyber. When he placed his vote, he said he couldn't post the reasons atm, but then he never posted them at all. Next thing he did after voting him was pushing for his lynch. Still no reasons.]
A: xRx, you did this in post 482. That was after post 454. So her first post after you voted Vaya was the one where she attacked you for it.
B: xRx, you did this in post 487. That was after post 454. So her first post after you said her reasons for voting cyberbob were convenient was the one where she attacked you for it.
So, the points were both based on your attack, and she accused you the first post after you did those things.
3: Okay
Cyberbob, if you find the town isn't playing well, why don't you actually help? If you don't want to win/play, then ask for a replacement."You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. -Wayne Gretzky"

This is not a valid argument, sorry. There's a reason we call certain actions "scummy". Would you like for me to spell it out for you?Wickedestjr wrote:I've used that argument before
Who said I'm not playing to win? I certainly think that my wagon has a number of scum on it and my cardflip will aid in their eventual deaths. It's pretty much the only valid tool I have left that anyone will actually pay attention to.Wickedestjr wrote:Cyberbob, if you find the town isn't playing well, why don't you actually help? Cyber, if you're protown and you think you're doomed to failure, the least you could do is to provide your thoughts on everyone (and I meaneveryone) before you do get lynched.
Instead you're sitting hear playing the part of doomsayer and not actually contributing. Nothing's wrong with defending/explaining yourself, but you seem to have given up active scumhunting in the hopes that "the rest of the town" will be somehow enlightened by your death.-

So your argument is anyone who has a scum read on you is either not town or playing anti-town?Cyberbob wrote:
Whoops, guess that means I have a fairly consistent style of writing PBPAs..............Tarhalindur wrote:On the other hand... *reads Cyberbob as scum in Commie Mafia more carefully*... while Cyberbob wasn't as emotional there as he is here, dear gods his summary posts there are JUST like his ones here. (Including one very early this game where my first read was a town PBPA. Oops.)
Seriously. Watching you guys run around feeling so happy with your AWESOMELY SWEET READS is actually pretty funny.-

Isn't that exactly what a scum would do?wickedstjr wrote: Vaya has only made three posts. None of them have been that helpful. However, having said that, I don't think Vaya would have come out of nowhere to jump on the most popular bandwagon if she was scum.
For clarification, I don't find Vaya scummy. Mostly it's because I think he made a very reasonable, yet likely unpopular, observation in Post 462. It's kind of fearmongering, but it's true, especially in a game with multiple mafias, that fast wagons do not indicate that the target is a townie, and the people balking at the wagon, simply due to its speed, look out of place.
But I understand the attention Vaya has gotten, and I find it curious that the thing that most people point out as the defining scumminess of Vaya is something that you point out as the defining towniness of Vaya.
In reference to the other two that Glork had been discussing, I find SnowBunny to be far scummier. I don't have a specific quote to show why I think that, but an iso read of SnowBunny shows a consistent pattern of 'sending out feelers' on what lynches the town might go for, and then heading to the most popular wagons. But SnowBunny isn't the lynch for today.
And neither is wickedestjr.
unvote
If we lynch someone other than Swimmer, MonkeyMan, or Cyberbob, we're not maximizing our gain from the day's discussion. MonkeyMan is off limits for now, and I still think Swimmer was newbTown.
vote:Cyberbob
Some folks are pointing at Cyberbob's current attitude and saying that it's obviously apathetic town, while others are saying that it's obviously defeated scum. The truth is that scum can fart that stuff out as easily as town can. It's a null tell, and I raise an eyebrow at people who have only that (and barning) as the reason for their vote/refusal to vote.-

Sitting down to start reading this now. I should get a post up by the end of the day. Worst-case scenario I'll have something tomorrow.
Please don't lynch Cyber before I have a chance to post.(11:04:10 PM) senspizzaline: That's actually my bold prediction for the year
(11:04:19 PM) senspizzaline: Miami finishes 2nd in the AFCE.
(11:05:35 PM) jhawk01b: my bold prediction for the year is that whoever wins the NFC West will have a winning record-

Unvoteonly to prevent an "accidental" hammer before Cyber claims and Sens reads.
Cyber, you need to claim now, and give us your thoughts on as many people as you can.-
