I'm sure it does exist. It would hardly be Big Brother without it. Although, it seems preassigned instead of something that can be 'earned'. Coup de'tat sound like it is a power that can be earned, but it won't be a factor for the first HoH.

As far as im concerned straying too far from a general concensus should be met with being put up if not evicted the following week. Im not going to sit here and lie that I would put up a person that most people thought was scum and I thought was town, but someone pulling some BS where they put up two people generally thought of as town, or no top "vote" (we are "voting" before eviction) getters, isnt going to fly.

Also what the hell is coop detaut or whatever that is? Ive seen about half of one season of BB so have no clue. Too drama-y to me, if I wanted to watch people fight like that there are easier ways.

Basically, the coup d'etat is a power that allows someone to usurp the HoH position at any time before the day's lynch, and put up their own nominations. I could really only see this being used if the coup d'etat holder is nominated / going to be lynched. Basically, it's like a reset with a new HoH.

This isn't Big Brother, this is a Mafia game where we have to make the best of certain themes from BB.

This isn't mafia, this is Big Brother Mafia. It has elements of both Big Brother and a regular mafia game.

Every player in this game will vote during the whole nomination-period, as if this was a regular game.

If my understanding is correct, an HoH will be named tonight at approximately 4:16 pacific time. Then the HoH has a 7 day deadline to give his nominations followed by a 7 day deadline for everyone else to vote on the nominees.

If the mod won't count the various vote-counts, then I or someone else will count them.

If I am appointed HoH, there will be plenty of discussion and votes to count. If someone else is appointed, they could just come out and announce their picks right off the bat and send the game directly into the actual eviction voting stage, which I would consider a very scummy move. It sounds as though you have volunteered to count votes. Thanks!

14 players
8 floaters (town)
3 evil chenbots (scum)
3 producers (scum)

1 floater (HoH)
7 floaters vs 6 scum (voters of nominees)

1 scum convincing 1 non-thinking lazy townie turns the votes into pro-scum. If we can get a few scum evicted, the majority vote become a much stronger tool than it is at this point. At this point, the numbers are too close for a thinking HoH to base his decision of nominees 100% on vote results.

You have flipped your lid. How does me pointing out that a power is preassigned and not earned show anything about my level of resisting manipulation? Anyway, after reading the rules, it seems the Coup d'etat can be a factor for the first HoH as well. So, win the Coup d'etat and if you don't like the the nominees, you can change them.

Llama, it's clues for the 'Coup D'eta'. I don't really get it, but apparently you need to get both 'puzzles' right to win the power to become HOH any time you want. I somehow doubt anyone can possibly get them from these early clues.

Kind of. In the show where this was used, the houseguests / competitors were given 3 clues, a sheep wearing a pink bow tie, a giant spool of thread and needle, and a grim reaper.
The answer was "You reap what you sow." I'm assuming it is along the same lines.
