If you're going to use meta cases on Day 1, I suggest generating a larger sample size than this - unless you believe you've found an empirical scumtell I commit without knowing, in which case you should share it now so I can be lynched.SerialClergyman wrote:2 and 2, Hoopla - 1 played, 1 read through properly, and 1 each skimmed.
This is part of my problem with you.
Protip: meta cases on day 1 are ridiculous.-

It's more insurance, rather than meta.
So I find someone who isn't scumhunting. This is bad, and I call them on it, and the reponse, inevitably, is: "Just look at all my games, I almost never scumhunt properly till later on" or something similar.
So when I make observations like the ones I've made against you (and against DDD), I actually check to see if this is usual for them. It allows me not to waste time making cases against VIs as well.
So the case isn't about meta, it's about your lack of contribution and lack of desire to catch scum. It's just also worth noting that in my experienceo f your play, this is both unusualish for town and usualish for scum.I'm old now.-

Why say it's a meta case then? It's just a cheap excuse to throw suspicion without having to explain anything.SerialClergyman wrote:So the case isn't about meta, it's about your lack of contribution and lack of desire to catch scum. You must also think I am exceedingly dim to not be aware of how I look as scum. To enrich your meta of me, here is a good game - it's the only other game where I've been on V/LA and risked replacement. My play was poor, and eventually lost the town the game.
This is because I like to spend a lot of time on my posts reading and analysing, and I cannot do this with 60 minutes a day available.-

My unsolicited opinion is that the case on her started up a day too early and the points against her can easily be attributed to her LA and it would've been better to see her pick up her play naturally or if she would've tried to still coast. I also think SC's point about the joke is extra nonsensy nonsense since I made a joke too (a better one at that, why no credit to Danny?) and I know I'm town.charter wrote:Reckoner, nhammen, and MIC, what are you thoughts on Hoopla? Don't bother reasoning with him, once he thinks someone is scum, they are scum. Reason doesn't matter.xRECKONERx wrote:
If I'm scum, what does that make nhammen?charter wrote:I'm really not seeing any way that Reckoner isn't scum. Just saying.
Who are my scumbuddies?
I'm not getting the hate on my DDD vote. It's obviously hypocritical to berate for someone for doing research wrong by mistake when you're not willing to do it by yourself.
I'm not also getting the lynch the mayor theory. What's to stop a scum lynchee from refusing to nominate a successor?
Col.'s reasons for attacking me were pretty flimsy...
If the mayor choice is between nhammen and socrates, I think I'd pick socrates. His analysis mostly makes sense, wheras nhammen hasn't added much this game, despite xReckonerx singing his praises. This also adds suspicion on xReckonerx.

I don't see the point in arguing with you since you've effectively dropped your case against me and since I think you're town I have no desire to try and counterstrike. And I disagree with your comment to a degree about Hoopla, if I know I only have a short amount of time it's very easy to waste that time and joke instead of playing the game seriously. But I'm not confident enough in her alignment to try and be her standard bearer. Still think Monkey is a good lynch with Kyle and Rec probably the two closest behind him.-

Your read on SC is based on what his view on your alignment is? This reeks of scum.Debonair Danny DiPietro wrote:

Come on Nhammen, are you being this nitpicky with me on purpose? I'm not picking up any scumtells from either side. Hence, nhammen wrote:I'd like to know what about this argument gives you that they are both town. I agree that the points against DDD are pretty bad. But where do you get that the bad points mean they are both town?feels like town bashing town. I actually chose that word 'feels' so that people like you wouldn't say stuff like this, guess my vocabulary needs improvement. Bad points don't necessarily equal scum, if that's what you're getting at.
If I had to circle one, scum. Acting funny, could just be from limited access. Jumped on Monkey wagon for no reason. That one post of hers after Monkey's claim feels a bit like scum saying 'we can NK this guy anyway'. Willing to let her talk more before forming a solid read. Pressure wagon is understandable, not a fan of lynching her at this point. Looking forward to what she has to say now that she's out of limited access.charter wrote:Reckoner, nhammen, and MIC, what are you thoughts on Hoopla? Town/scum? Why?
Again if I had to circle one, town. From an early gut read. Dunno what you're talking about with your 'this guy must be scum'. I've probably been giving him a free pass though. May need metareading at some point. Asked scummy questions in his last last post (see Sigma in our last game ). I don't agree about Monkey and Hoopla being scumbuddies. Will reconsider my stance on Reckoner.charter wrote:Hoopla, MIC, nhammen, what is your opinion on Reckoner? Town/scum?-

Yes, I know you're not actually reading the thread since you're scum but could you make it less obvious?
