It's not a very good joke, Y. It doesn't make any sense for you to say that an IC in and SE slot is scum.

A joke has no real sence to it. Why to be deffensive?

It's not really a scum tell to defend myself when
1. It was early in the game, talking a bit is better than nothing.
2. Joke or not, it's still an accusation that I'm scum.
3. I was hoping that you'd explain the joke, as I still do not 'get' it.

I did think Ald's reaction there was a little off, now that you mention it, though it could have just been a misunderstanding. As I said earlier, I have a fairly pro-town read on him; I like his contributions to the game.

Hmm, reading him in iso a bit further I think I see your point. Throughout early Day 1 he seems mostly defensive, without a whole lot of content. Later on (starting right around iso 26) is where I get a more positive read on him. Late Day 1 he seems to be asking good questions and pressuring information (iso 26, 33, 35, 36 for example). Then later on, shortly after Day 2 begins, he fades back out (iso 41-50 is mostly noise), but afterwards he's back in the game, looking for clarification on the foilist/CD thing (iso 51, 54, 56 for example).

I'm not underestimating, but what makes Socrates' input particularly important?

Well, I don't speak for CD, but I want to see what Socrates' case on CD is. Plus, Socrates IS posting in other games, so I have to wonder why he's avoiding this one. Awfully convenient.

Agreed. Socrates has only posted twice Day 3, and not for 11 days now, despite multiple requests for information. Didn't realize he was posting in other games; that looks really bad.

God, this game is so frustrating to me.

My lurking here has been beyond acceptable, and I know this.

The problem is that the posts that I need to make for this game are very involved and it would take a very significant period of time to put together. (Like, multiple hours.) And I have just been putting it off continuously.

Things I need to do to feel comfortably caught up in this game:

-Re-read.
-flesh out my case on Cthulhu
-Take a good hard look at all of the other players.

In the mean time, I should just post at least at the most cursory levels.

Y's comments about the NK's are giving me the Heebie jeebies.

Him essentially hinting at a town read on cthulhu in post 458 because he doesn't think Cthulhu is skilled enough is SO WEIRD to me.

Soc - Wish there was more to read, especially Day 3. His Cth accusation is long-established, but the addition of Y is unexplained. Further details would be nice.

Fingered me at the start of day 2 then didn't participate further. Didn't even vote - quite heavy lurking. Quite strange as he was totally convinced it was me... why not even try to sell the case?

What? I immediately voted you yesterday and pretty much all of my posts were me selling my case. If anything, I have been tunelled on you.

Okay, time to build my case on Cthulhu.

Day 1: I have already explained why I think his play on this day is super scummy. He pushes a case that is almost entirely dependant on the assumption a different person is scum without confirmation that the first person is scum.

After day 1, I find so little evidence of Cthulhu scum hunting it hurts my very core. Sure he has been active, but I see very few posts that actually push towards finding scum. I mean come on, Cthulhu avoided voting at all yesterday until

after

a wagon started to form on him, and then his push on Foilist was largely fueled by self preservation.

Look at Cthulhu's play today. Lots of comments about how we need to post more, lots of safe questions to other players, complete absence of scum hunting. His only post today that he really comments on the alighments of others is so utterly non-committal I can barely stand it. WHO DO YOU THINK IS SCUM CTHULHU?

Come on people, this is active lurking at its finest.
